8 hours of climbing. No wonder you look so great! And you clearly are very content. What a journey you are on. Thank you for sharing.
TAI SHAN Thank you for your excellent exposition of that fabulous mountain that is Tai Shan...and moon cakes. Entering the red gates...the first of many steps...past rocks & stelae carved with calligraphy...the feeling of the place...like Tao...cannot be defined, because it applies to everything.I hope one day to have visited all of the 5 Daoist & 5 Buddhist holy mountains...work in progress. Have you visited others?

My son has been teaching at a local EF, English First, school for the past 2 yrs. He hasn't shared much information about the Taizhou area. I hope that I can learn more about the area from reading your blog and seeing the pictures you have posted. Thank you.
Torch relay again Just took some pictures near royal artillery barracks. The torch bearer held the flame high, followed by artillery guards on horses. This was the first leg of the torch-relay in London, started from the Cutty-Sark in Greenwich. The archery and shooting games will start on Woolwich common here from next Sturday and the equestrian at Greenwich park. Hi, not good for taking photos on a mobile phone, just rushing mad tried, hope one day could upload these to share with you all.

Interesting DIY tour Hi Hans, it's always nice to read your travel blog and see how do you explore and enjoy different parts of China. I am going to Chengdu for several days during Easter Holiday, do you have any recommendations?
Hi again from Oz! Another informative blog & great photos, Hans. I didn't quite get to Qufu, but looks like a fascinating place to visit. Enjoy and keep yourself well. Hugs Sue
'Good to see you're still travelling... Hi Hans,
‘Great photos again. Does Qufu have any of the original walls left? I did not fast track to the last photo like many others may have. Yes, beware of the sun. I assume you are back at the old college.
I have almost completed updating my blog of Taizhou and other journeys before home (including the long overdue Silk Road trip). I will let you know when it is ready.
Good luck with the coming year.
John
Looks like a wonderful time! I need to go back to China again one day. Great pictures and so incredible how his teachings are so relevant till this day.
Thanks We visited Qufu when we were teaching in July Taizhou in 2008.
Many happy memories. I am returning again this year to teach for the Education Department in Jiangsu in July.
Great photos, expecially Kashgar. Question? I am glad you persevered and uploaded your photos. They are very nicely done and give me a clue for my own photos of Kashgar later this morning. How did you do your route map? I would like to make one of my own. Thank you.
After 38 years as a Foreign Language Teacher and Foreign Language Dept. Chair at Coral Gables Sr. H.S., and A.J. I have just signed another year's teaching-contract (my 8th year now) with Taizhou University in the city of Taizhou, located about 3hrs north of Shanghai, in Jiangsu Province, CHINA.
I thought it would be informative for others and rewarding for me personally, to log the progress of my efforts from beginning to end, as a Travel and Photo Jo... full info
