headed out through the winding roads to Hot Water Beach......wow, what a spectacular drive! Anywhere that looks close on the map, takes a long time to get to........the roads are winding and up and down, but beautiful scenery is around every corner......arrived at Hot Water Beach where you can dig your own spa in the sand........but, if the tide is in, it's a no go........and guess what? tide was in......need to start checking those tidal charts! Anyway, the beach is beautiful, as are all of the beaches.........packed up and headed to Waihi Beach, not that far and wow! Tide was out and I could walk for miles.........check out the photos! Ended up driving in the dark, not something that I really was looking forward to, but it turned out fine........landed back at Mimi and Bill's around
