jealous of the painkillers... but glad you survived the crazy mountain weather and camping in the rockies for that matter. i have read all your new entries but i have to tell you mexican cable is not so great (argentina was better) my other option is the republican national convention -BARF!
cheers to you and camping! carbondale is a teeny tiny town i used to know well -i drove past it on my way home to aspen. you should have tried johny mcguire's for a delicious melty, saucy sandwich although it could be in basalt the next tiny town down the road!
america the beautiful! hee hee. but colorado really is a special place. glad to hear that you survived the fire and did not cause a national disaster! i could use some hot springs at the moment! miss you!
Mailboxes! Are you making fun of the American Mailbox?! ha ha. Its so funny to see something that you've seen all your life with no concern, then have someone from another country say something unexpected like "They really do have mail in these things"!!! Lovely post, I can imagine you had a great time in one of the USA's most beautiful states!
Swallowed by Anaconda Maybe the firmest, yet most supple ass I have ever seen! Just for your info, the name of the place was Alcala and the old colonial city is called San Cristobal - yes there are a few bells, but not Cristobel. Just thought I would get a little anal on you, heh heh. Cheers and welcome home to drudgery and dismality (is that a word?); either way London embodies it. I miss you, luv.
Tacos! Oh boy, I am hungry! Hey Grifter... Grifter, hey, I like it... Well I made it to ur blog, and I have to say, nice one, I like what you are doing here. When is the book coming out? Ah, waiting for the Seville section, hm? Reading the Palenque bit, made me want a taco al pastor. It is the best thing ever. Anyway now I am hungry, but I should go to bed, corp america awaits for me in the AM. Oops, it is AM now... hm. God, I miss Tayni. You are a lucky bird. Get me out of here! Great seeing u in London. Apologies for all this nonsense. Will behave next time.
So sad. Dog shit and albergue transitorio culture and all, I feel the same way about BA. I know I will always jump at a chance to talk it up, or to recommend it to someone. I think its quirkiness is what makes it so endearing to us. It's a city that teaches you to be able to laugh at yourself and take the piss out of yourself (did I use that British expression correctly??)...but of course, what made me love it was mostly the people. YOU rounding out the top of the list!!! I will miss you and everyone but it will be interesting to see where we all end up...
you've been busy.... nice to see some new pics/stories up here. your trip to salta looks a bit different from mine. you were on bikes whereas we travelled in a car... so lazy. like the fancy hotel- nice job. see you soon- HOPEFULLY. miss you lovelove
That god Jo can I just say that I am so glad you were not rapped, kidnapped, and or mudered. And sal how amazing that you were able to talk them out of taking your camera, that is nuts, you should become a hostage negotiator or something
