So glad I've finally had time to catching up on the reading
Yes, we agree with Bob that we want to hire Mike to be our guide. He may have new business opportunities here. When we travel we are always surprised by the amount of renovation occurring all over the world. We wish we had the concession on scaffolding. We enjoyed your Jaipur comments as we were there not all that long ago.

India and all that....
It is everything you said it would be! Mike is retired like me of course, but he is 9 years younger - though not do fit! He's booked for his next trip to India- by us again I suspect. What's it like being back at work? David

How fantastic to attend a wedding!
An amazing sunset. Your photography is excellent. Sounds like Mike knows half the country. Always good to travel with a well connected friend or family member. Love the stories. Great, great writing as always.

If it is good enough for Prince Andrew it might be good enough for you
Mike is proving to be an excellent guide. India is a country of contrast and an assault to the senses at times.

Hawa Mahal - The Palace of Winds - Jaipur

Hi Ren and Andrew, I believe it is possible to go inside. It's only one room deep so it's on solid foundations. We can't see it all! we've only got one life! David and Janice

Right of way - India style

Lovely!
During my almost three months in India I tried to capture a photo of a heavily overburdened vehicle but it always eluded me. Really glad to see that you were able to successfully record one of my more endearing memories of the country.

Hi Shane, I'm intrigued by the overload of everything here! The tyres and axles aren't up to it! Please feel free to pinch some of my pics. (or let me know if you would like me to send you some when we get home on the 16th! David

Wow
Quite a change from Eastern Europe when I last caught up with your travels. Sylvia and I are back from our trip to the UK. Slowly getting caught up with the blog. Last time I contacted you, I mentioned two friends of ours who were travelling E. Europe also and suggested you might meet them. Strangely enough, we were travelling in a motorhome around the UK in August and did bump in to them in a campsite near Brighton. Neither of us knew the other was staying there until the day we left to return the motorhome. Small world!. Enjoy the rest of your travels. John.

Bombay train station
Did you by chance see the main rail station in Bombay? It was built around the same time as Melbourne's Flinders St station, and designed by the same architect in England. Apparently the plans were mixed up, & we have a grand Taj Mahal type building, looking a bit out of place. We've often wondered if Bombay's would look better in Melbourne. X Jan

Railway stations
Hello special friends, Yes, we knew it was special and diverted to see it in the dark as we left for our flight to Udaipur. It's Victoria Station of course! See you soon! Lots of love, David and Janice

India
We reckon you're very brave to go to India, but how fortunate to have your personal guide. We're looking forward to some very colourful photos. Travel by barge in France will seem very tame by comparison, but I'm sure we'll discover new secrets of the area. We'll be following the blog with interest. Safe travels, Love Jan & Trevor

The most poetic view of India I have ever read...
looking forward to reading about travels in India from your rose colored...or should I saw slightly tinted... glasses point of view.

Dear me, you're more than ready for India!
I soooo love this. Will you wax poetic all throughout the 35 day journey? That I've got to see (or read). You're tops, y'know! Have a great journey.
