Hey Neil Hi Neil,
I was just talking with Sue and she reminded me of you blog.
How are things going down there?
We are finally getting some snow here in Canmore. We've had about 5 inches. I was xc skiing at the nordic centre this morning. The temp is just below freezing which made it difficult to wax for classic. I am working at the shop there a couple of days a week now and will be teaching skiing after Christmas. Wendy and I plus our gang are heading to Costa Rica for a couple weeks over the Christmas and New Years.
I will miss the snow but the skiing can wait when I have a chance. Are you staying south for Christmas?
Well I hope you are getting some sailing in.
Hop to hear from you.
David
Congratulations Neil! Good thing you got Steph to answer her phone. Hopefully this will be a start to getting into the loop.
P.S. I really like your new business card.
I had the same comment as Heather (before reading hers). The anchor didn't stand out until I had a second look, wondering what it was. Might also be an idea to add some sort of address. If they pull out the card in another port, they may want to reference where you're based.
Sounds like a pretty tough place to be putting in time while job hunting!!
Business card looks good Neil. What is the design in the background? I can't really make it out. Sounds like you're having some leisurely days, which is possibly frustrating but as you said, work will come. Sounds like you're being resourceful and persistent which is all you can really do. Good luck! xo
ARRRRRR Hi Neil, glad to hear things are working out for you. Now comes the time of waiting. Keep your spirits up work will come with the boat show and Dec. There will be lots of work then. If you have any questions call PEHJL2244 skype or email. Love to talk to you. Best of luck.
Yeah they were pretty hot. I opened mine up and let water in however when i got out of the pool i was walking around in my own personal swimming pool. Really heavy.
Apparently the 11th was when St. Maarten was discovered.
Ah the vicarious life style -loving it Great pics and text Neil, appears you are pretty well prepared for an event we hope never happens. It must have been almost unbearably hot in the survival suits.
By the way I wonder why the Netherland Antillies had Nov. 11 as a holiday. Canada had a pretty important role in events in Holland just before that date.
Good entry Neil. Very informative. Mom didn't ask you what types of birds you've seen yet? Am I the only one that gets that question? Next we need to hear about the burning boat drill...that sounds cool.
Well there is a bar at the end of the beach that is right close to it but just out of the way of the Jet Wash. Perfect spot since you can grab a beer and watch the planes or go for a swim.
Keep'm coming Thanks for the pics Neil. We'd love to see more. I'm surprised there's no entrepreneur at the end of the runway renting goggles!! As business opportunity?
That Neil Now son, jet wash is no way to cool off and I agree sand is a lousy exfoliator. I hope you will use drug store products from now on.
Weather looks great, but I can imagine the heat. I like the idea of the video, make sure you get into some of the clips.
Pictures? Thanks for getting the blog started Neil. Nice to know I'm not the only one flying on cramped planes. Now you know why I choose isle seats.
Now that this is going, we want pictures - lots of them!
Love Dad
Sounds awesome Neil. You're very lucky to have everything all set up for you on arrival...including a friend with a car! Can't wait to hear more and see some pics when you get them uploaded. It's weird being on this end of the blog. xo
