Pisa... Wow! I love Italy and Pisa was on the places to see list mainly for the leaning tower, it is remarkable how much it leans and stays standing! In my good wisdom I decided to embark on a journey of independance to Pisa, I decided to travel alone... I have never travelled abroad by myself and felt an awe of empowerment, till I got there and thought why the hell did I think this was a good idea! I've actually got no one to chat to or enjoy this scenery with. Just so you know I do have friends, just to put that out there! With my job I travel a lot around the UK, don't panic I won't bang on about to my job! The perk is though I get to visit a lot of places that I wouldnt necessarily of gone to. Having lived in the UK all my live I forgot how blessed we are in this country to have so many places to go and see right on our doorstep! One of my surprising trips I had was to visit Newcastle/Gateshead, I have never been and didn't think I would want to! How wrong was I! I loved every moment, the people are so friendly and chatty, there is loads to do and see in the city and outside. First entry to my blog and what a great place to be writing about. The whole of Iceland has a population of around 300,000, set on two great plates it makes Iceland one of the worlds most volcanic islands in the world. We, my beloved partner Ryan and I, spent our time in Reykjavik the most northern City in the world. The city itself is quite small but holds a host of interesting and delightful cafes, restaurants, shops and museums. The first day here after the 3hour flight we spent mooching and enjoyed tea and cake and generally finding our way around. We stayed in the Icelandic air marina hotel which is opposite the harbour, the harbour is very near the centre and has views into the working fishing harbour.
