Quality time. GiantSteve,
You were a great traveling partner for 10 memorable days.
For both of us, the visit to Lamborghini was special. Much and all as I love my Porsche, I've put an Espada onto my "collection" list. We agreed, the Miura Concept car has got to be one of the most beautiful and desirable ever.
Steve, great trip, great fun and great son.
Memories for a lifetime.
Papa.
Not Fair!! Hey Steven
It sounds like you are having a terrific time!!! I wish I was back in Europe!!!!! I miss it!!!! Did any of the car places sell souveniers or do they just sell cars? hahaha
Have a great time :)
Andrea
So True! HaHa I so know what you mean about the Pirates ride at Disneyland! SO BORING! SO CRAP! LOL. Did they have the buzz Lightyear ride there? I reckon that is and awesome ride
Travels Hi Steve, Glad to hear that good 'ol Hospitality is not dead EVERYWHERE:) You can still meet people here and there who have no hidden agendas.... they are just plain NICE :) We've all kept up with your travels with great interest.... each day you'll hear someone say " Has Steve written another Blog yet? What's new? Where is he now, what new sights are they enjoying?"... so, you have a captive audience back home :)
Take good care of yourself, see all you can see, come back happy and satisfied.... but I'll guarantee... you'll be off again as soon as you can :) Once the Travel Bug bites, there's no cure :) Keep the great commentaries coming. See you when you get home
Well Done! Hi Steven
Sounds like you guys have had a really good and interesting time.
I have really enjoyed your amusing anecdotes of your trip.
I am not reading your blog to purely 'stalk' Andrea's comings and goings in her trip overseas (as only a parent would) but your writings have really given me an insight into your travels.
Enjoy the rest of your trip on your own and travel safe!
Sounds awesome! Sounds like your having a mad as time brother ' o mine! Make sure you get heaps of contacts, when i go over there to work you can come get a job with me and we can tour Europe for like a year! Dad is pining for more photos of your trip though...and photos of the people over there too! I'm growing my beard back :) You better have a decent beard when you get back hehe :) Anyway bedtime for all silly people like me...4:30 AM is an immorally early time to get up for work!
Keep having the time of your life!
Andrew
I like Mr Voice-over Man Sounds pretty awesome Steeeeve. I discovered that meeting/staying with a local kicks ass - if only we had done it more... Things are sounding pretty great, I hope it continues in a similar fashion! Getting lost is kinda fun isn't it!
He looked better with the beard I whole-heartedly endorse Andrew's above comment!
Also I know the feeling, you do the traveling necessary to go somewhere and you're looking forward to it and then *thhhbt* it sucks. The next place always looks great by comparison though!
Snow and Mountains and Fun - oh my! Oh, my Schwepsie sounds like he's having a magical time! Aren't foreign king fu movies the absolute best to laugh at!? I know we did plenty of that. Your entries continue to make me smile (with simmering envy underneath).
Oh Steve! Nice literary scrawls my boy! Your trip sound super-duper so far, and mine's over and I'm at home doing a massive pile of laundry... it's not fair!
My beard is shaved... Hey Stevo bon-Wevo (a rough translation from French... Steven the fatty) How u doing bro? Me and smashed-head just got back yesterday morning, 42 hours of no sleep...healthy! I had a mad beard and mo going...but took them off for the meeting. How you travelling anyway? I demand a photo of you doing 'the sprinkler' in front of a well known landmark...that is all :)
So Jealous! Oh, I'd love to be over there with you. I'd much rather the colder weather than the stupid humid and rainy weather you left behind here in Brizzy. LOL
Great photo's Wow...it's fantastic to be able to share this wonderful adventure you're having, through the "eye" of your camera.... makes us feel like we are there too :o).... look forward to seeing more of Europe as you all travel along. Take care
wheeee Oh oh! Try to get to umm I think it's called 'the little gem', it's not far from Rochester. Pub established in 1080 or something ridiculous like that!
Onya kids! :-) Great to hear that you made it in one piece. Just remember, our Brissy winter does dip below 5 degrees every couple of years. Our summers are just too long to remember. :-)
Have a great tour around France. Eat muchos pizza. :-)
Hey, don't worry, there are barely any cannibals round here, so you should be fine. Apart from that, don't forget to sample the beer when in belgium, it's what we use to compensate for our lack of kangaroos, and it's pretty effective.
Up up and away Have the first of many trips of a lifetime.
How does a father bird feel to see his fledgling stand on the edge of the nest, hesitate.....then jump into the unknown?
Alone, but proud.
Dad
I'm 25 and I'm FINALLY leaving my country of birth. My main interests are cars, computers and gadgets; I'm your typical geek. This trip is going to be several million miles outside my comfort zone, but then that's the best way to get to know yourself (or so I keep hearing...)
Should be interesting... full info
