Paradise Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye!!! Come to Ladram Bay East Devon - has the stacks and a lot less expensive on the travel! No I'm only jealous.
Don't believe Jenny - Vicki is just an email acquantance and is a bit thick and needed a bit of help with organising our taxi to get us to and from our boat on holiday. I didn't think I should rub her nose in it so used my charm instead. Far less stressful. Jenny was worried that they would be left at the airport because Vicki had only booked a taxi for two. Anyone could have made that mistake!!!!
Not such a paradise! Sad that Phuket doesn't seem to be quite the paradise we would expect! Tourism always ruins everything doesn't it! Not sure I would like to get as close to nature as you have been either. Great photos though. Guess your actually in Oz now - bet that's fantastic. Spoke to your Dad yesterday Lexa on the webcam - he seems to be getting quite friendly with Vicki - the lady whose organising our holiday!! Lots of love - Auntie Jenny xx
Lake Palace Hotel, Udaipur The closest I've got to this place is reading about it in 'Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cookery' as I made my 'Aubergines in the Pickling Style'. Apparently the recipe originated with the chef here. Yummy!
I'm really enjoying your photos and look forward to each new episode.
From a very envious Frank, back in Cirencester.
PS Lexa - it must be 15 years since I last met you !
Real Engineering
How long has it been since you did any real engineering?? First class job! I'd like to see you get it past our Safety 'Engineers' , though!

Lexa's Birthday It is only two days to go - for us anyway- to your birthday. It seems strange that we cannot send you presents and a card. But instead you will be in Thailand provided the One World Alliance held up all right at Mombia. We both hope you have a great day Lexa and relish the uniqueness of the occassion in a foreign land. We are thinking about you a lot and will do especially on the 10th.
Happy Birthday
Love Mum and Dad XXX

Butlins ? Apparantely Ringo Star likened Rishikesh to Bultins - Care to comment ?
I've been to Butlins at Bognor and it had a lot less cows... no temples and no Monkeys.
Happy New Year ........... Jon.

Culture Shock Definately a culture shock experience. Can hear the car horns from here just looking at the pictures. Organised chaos - and we call them for advice?
Hello Geoffy, Bonjour Lexa ! Here is froggy land talking ! What an adventure you are in ! Are you sure you are gonna come back ?! and be able to wear a suit and a tie again ???
I wish you both good time for your next destination.
Think of you xxx Christine
Avoiding Exercise Just fooling around on the computer instead of going for a good healthy swim down the local pool. Looking forward to seeing the next section on your Asian travels. Hope you are enjoying the 'Culture' but remembering your own. Can't help noticing that the comments have dissapeared. Don't worry we haven't forgotten you, so thought you would like to receive one to let you know we are thinking of you constantly.
Lots of Love Dad and Mum
So lovely to keep up with your progress and all your adventures but us girlies at work would like to see more piccy's of Lexa, lovely as the pictures are of you Geoff we miss our mate and would like to see bit more of her. The few snippets that we have seen show that she is fine and obviously having good time but we are beginning to forget what she looks like. Many thanks.
So far so good What a life, it must be absolute hell! Actually your boat trip looked a bit like that, but as you say what a magical way to arrive. Keep the blogs and pics coming, this is keeping me sane in this mad world. Cheers
Thinking of Home? Look at Mums web page and see Pebbles the new member of the family. Mitzie not too impressed. Also see Mum's knitted carrots in the world's largest knitted garden as seen on BBC Spotlight this evening.
Wiating for you to come back round from the dark side of the moon Houston is waiting for contact - Looking forward to hearing from you and hope all is well. Will be glad when you are able to break radio silence.
Dad and Mum

We are here in Idaho Hi guys. Love the blog with the pictures. They look great. We are safe in Idaho being treated like royalty by the Wokersien's at here. We will pick up the RV today to start our expedition. The country here is 'awsome' and we even took Mum on a class 3 raft trip which was such fun. I only landed in the water a couple of times. I hope you learn all the fish names quickly. Lots of Love Mum and Dad Wokersien. XXX
Hi there everybody,
We hope you enjoy reading about our exploits whilst we're on our 16 month BIG TRIP. Many people have asked why we are going and in an attempt to explain here is a quote from the famous British explorer Eric Shipton.
"In these days of upheaval and violent change, when the basic values of today are the vain and shattered dreams of tomorrow, there is much to be said for the philosphy which aims at living a full life while the opportunity offers. There are few treasures of more lasting worth than the experience of a way of life that is itself wholly satisfying. Such, aft... full info
