Duchess DJ Love, Gallivanting Like A Royal, (Author of her 1st book, TravelTude, which is available on Amazon.com.) My website is https://GallivantingLikeARoyal.com. A royale journey awaits all, even on a budget. Gallivant around the world with Duchess DJ Love. My theme is to share love everywhere I go. My travels include visiting all 50 states and 10 countries abroad. Join me on my adventures; experience sites through my lens and southern voice. Am I a relative of the Royal Family? Well that depends. My ancestry does go way, way, way back to England, but I am a royal child of God. Why not a Queen? That makes me think of a prim and proper lady. Doesn't quite capture my personality. Ok, what about a Princess? Hmm..seems a bit too privileged for me. Hence, I choose to be a Duchess. I want to make the world a better place, one heart at a time. Reminding me of the Coca-Cola song, I'd like to teach the world to sing (in perfect harmony).

Traveling is my passion. My hope is to encourage you along this journey by sharing some love. Thanks for dropping by. Let me know if I've touched your heart.

By Duchess DJ Love, Author, Blogger & Show Host s1:e11 Greece Tips Welcome back to my channel, it's Duchess DJ Love here, and on this Sunday's, Gallivanting Like A Royal, show at 7pm CST on August 13th, I'm going to share my travel tips for flying to Athens on a budget while highlighting my experience and photos. Hi from the Acropolis of Athens First things first, booking a business class ticket doesn't have to break the bank. One trick I use is to book flights during off-peak times when prices are usually lower. When it comes to packing, it's important to be smart and efficient with your choices. Invest in a good quality carry-on bag that complies with the airline's size restrictions. To save money on meals, pa... read more

Thanksgiving Holiday Travel Tips by Gallivanting Like a Royal, Duchess DJ Love Hello Royals, As many prepare for the Thanksgiving journey to spend the holiday with loved ones and friends, allow me to share some travel tips. First and foremost, remember Thanksgiving is about gratitude. So do not stress over baking the perfect turkey or smoking it too dry. Instead focus on the moment. Don’t take a second for granted. Cherish those folks you hold dear. Some folks prefer driving to moms for Thanksgiving along with 50 million other motorists hitting the highways, so be alert. The Thanksgiving season is usually one of the busiest of the year. Check the weather several times for the entire route. Take emergency supplies just in case of anything. Don’t forget it is deer season and the deer can jump ... read more

My Day in Sedona Without a Car by Gallivanting Like a Royal, Duchess DJ Love Eckhart Tolle held a conference which I attended in Phoenix. While in the area, I decided to add on a day trip to Sedona. I did not want to drive so I found an alternative. We booked the Groome Transportation Shuttle from PHX (Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport) to our hotel, Best Western Arroyo Roble Resort, in Uptown Sedona. The shuttle serves Phoenix and Flagstaff airports. From Phoenix it took about 2 hours to make the ride into Sedona. We had to wait for passengers arriving on a late flight, so we were behind schedule. But from Sedona hotel to PHX, it is about an hour and a half. Tip: expect the shuttle to pick you up 15 minutes earlier than ... read more

Highlights of Kailua-Kona on the Hawaiian Island, Big Island by Duchess DJ Love, Gallivanting Like a Royal Looking for a peaceful beach to unwind, heal spiritually, and soak up some sun, ushered me to Kailua-Kona on the Big Island Hawaii. Kona pleasantly surprised me. The island vibe captured my heart immediately. Now, it is my favorite destination. Royal Kona Resort became my home away from home on my first trip. I chose this hotel because it had all the amenities I sought. This way I would not have to leave the resort. However, the charming, historical mile long stretch of Ali’i Drive drew me out. Strolling the coastline, smelling the ocean breeze, listening to the waves, bird watching, and taking in the shops kept me on the go. The evenings gave way to downtime to enjoy ... read more

Sugarloaf Mountain, Land of Lost Confederate Gold, in the Sandhills of South Carolina by Gallivanting Like a Royal, Duchess DJ Love South Carolina is the home of my southern accent. My trademark, as I call it. Growing up, many Saturdays were spent with grandpa, who would take all of us grandkids over to Sugarloaf Mountain to spend the day. This unusual hill located in the Sand Hills State Forest of Chesterfield County South Carolina is thought to be created from an asteroid blast and home to lost confederate gold. The “mountain” is just across the dirt road from the smaller horseshoe mountain. Sugarloaf gets its name from looking like sugar on its white top. Horseshoe is named by its shape which looks like a horseshoe. You will find interesting rock geology, hiking and horse trails, camping, ... read more

Seaside Oregon – A Quaint Town by Duchess DJ Love, Gallivanting Like a Royal Seaside Oregon was just another town on my Coastal Oregon tour years ago. Once there though, it became a favorite vacation destination. Seaside is a small town on Oregon’s northwestern coast. It's only an hour and half drive from Portland. The beach is easily walkable and a treasure land for shells, crabs, and sand dollars. The 1920s promenade highlights a statue of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The Seaside Aquarium is a popular tourist attraction with a seal exhibit. If hiking is your thing, then Tillamook Head trail is a must do in nearby Ecola State Park with ocean views, Tillamook Rock Sea stack, and the 19th-century Tillamook Rock Lighthouse. While beach walking or sunset gazing, grab those binoculars for glimpses of ... read more

South Lake Tahoe – Adventures Year Round by Duchess DJ Love, Gallivanting Like a Royal South Lake Tahoe offers numerous activities throughout the year. There are art galleries, shows, live entertainment, and day spas for relaxation. My first visit was during the off season in late March. Flying into Reno as you are about to land, the flight provides great views of the surrounding area including Lake Tahoe, mountain tops and valleys depending on flight patterns and weather. The clouds cleared just as we were about to land. The off season is the best time to get a deal with the Casino Hotels or other lodging. The Hard Rock Hotel, Bailey’s formerly MontBleu, Harrah’s and Harvey’s are within easy walking distance to Heavenly Village to ski, shop or dine. There are numerous lodges, cabins, and condo ... read more
