Wonderful! Oh my gosh, I remember loving Lugano. And nice you got to bike around part of the lake. Never been to Portofino or the Duomo. They look amazing. Glad you had a wonderful trip.
Love, Mom
ice and snow ....so, I am Eryn...I am from Alaska.....where it is winter six months of the year......I went to equator...and put on crampons, got an ice axe, lots of winter clothes...and climbed ice and snow and a glacier...what's up with that!?!??! Don't get enough in the six months of Alaska winter??
next chapter I has been so great to have you home...but I am looking forward to having an interesting blog to read again....should be quite different with staying one place for many months...slower, longer term relationships (good and bad sides to that), possible boredom to deal with, but better sense of connecting to a place that will possibly connect more deeply with you....a different adventure...
Zimbabwe Yeah, the cholera epidemic that is being blamed on Britain...the fact that there currently isn't even a government in Zimbabwe because the people in power are too busy fighting amongst eachother has nothing to do with it...
Alaska Coldness! I know! I am going to turn into an icicle as soon as I step off the plane! I'm losing my tough Alaskan-ness. Must mean it's time to go home...
more What is an ostrich hug? We need more details about the bungy jumping. Marlaria vaccine would be amazing -- but what about the deadly cholera epidemic in full swing right now next door in Zimbabwe?
crocs good thing there weren't crocs in the river! btw have you heard about the cholera outbreak in south africa? Glad you survived skydiving. Lots of ways to die... ps - miss the photos! I need one of the 'truck'. Lots of snow here - you will certainly freeze when you return.
bonfires at kinkaid (that's what that reminded me of)
clicking! eryn you better teach us all how to sound amazing like them, kay? and how to dance crazy amazing like them too :]]
That lion looks scarry!!!!!! Uncle Doug is here right now and he says that the lions are eating your friend. Is this true?? What are they eating Eryn???
This is an ongoing, occasionally updated blog for whenever I'm off traveling the world doing exciting things. The first entries are from my gap year (2008-2009) of traveling and volunteering internationally. Now I will be writing from Switzerland where I am studying International Relations and Multilateral Diplomacy through the School for International Training for the spring semester (2012) and then from various places around Europe as I continue my travels. Enjoy! ... full info

Hobbit meals
Great commentary on a very fun trip. Especially loved that day of Hobbit meals!
