Tastefully written with good humour Sharon & Bronson; I must be the last in the family to read your blog. Wish I was there with you guys at the ceremory. I shall try and make it to yours, huh!!
Amazing Sharon and Bran,
Happy Married life and you explained it in such a good detail that (wow) i was amazed. The shark part was kind of freaky.
AMES!
Nha Trang Beach Great sunrise photo of Nha Trang Beach looking towards Hon Tre Island....I spent 1969 at the Air Base as a Security Policeman for the 14th SPS.....as beautiful today(minus the war) as it was in those times of conflict.
thanks
Luang Prabang Sandwich Grant must have eaten a similar trucker LP Sandwich in Quito! And yes, thank god for crap cable TV at times like that....lucky the girls´constitutions are stronger than our feeble partners.
Vang Vieng - I almost died Vang Vieng was a ripper. As you can imagine John almost didnt leave. I drank so much beer at the tube bars i passed out in my tube and Johnny had to drag me to shore... and scooting along the dirt tracks my tyre exploded sending me flying and the bike crashin... looked stuffed... and cost me a whole $13 US to have fixed (and they ripped me off).
Nice TV special Sharon

depressing... :-( This blog brings back that horrible depressing feeling ...a sad and helpless kind. Alex and I visited Phom Penh in Jan 06 and we stayed at the Boddhi Tree Hotel. It's that cafe with nice leafy trees directly across from Toul Sleng!! At first we thought we were rather brave, but after our visit, it just got scary. (I'm spiritually chinese after all and all I could think of was the millions of angry lost souls across the street from me).
Liv's Tips for Angkor Wat Hi guys, I realise I'm into history a little more that you two, but I would have to disagree and say the 1 day pass isn't enough! The place is so huge, and 1 day wasn't enough to explore all the temples which are so fascinating with all the huge trees growing over them. I felt like Indiana Jones, and never tired of discovering overgrown statues, tombs etc! I got a 2 day pass, and could have had an extra day there...but that's just me! xx
Gruesome and sad. Somewhat sad that you guys were exposed to such morbid and sad experience, glad that you shared your view on life on how precious it is. Love..... Berchik
Biker Chicks The Easy Rider trip sounds awesome. I think Meg undertook a similar adventure as I remember her photos. Re curving bus journeys, we have just completed a hellish 20 hour bus journey that sounds identical to yours, although we had the added challenge of discovering that nearly all Colombians suffer from acute cases of bus sickness.....
Bravo First, congrats on your usual top-notch job with this entry. As usual, you have no weaknesses (tho I always love your captioning -- Hanoi was my fav).
But now a twist. I know Bronson is menc enough to take this as a compliment to him too, but I have to say that I am a member of the Sharon Is Hot club.
And a charmer too!
All the best to both of you (from the Chinese interior) -- Tucker
Backpacker vs Flashpacker Loved this entry! After reviewing and debating amongst fellow travellers, we feel we fall into the backpacker category, despite occasional flashpacker tendencies. eg. US$200 flight across Colombia to avoid potential guerilla army unrest from Bush's latest visit. Does this count?
mmm...let me think!!! Well seems that i consider myself as a true friend,id have to say that i would choose your luggage over your well being,as knowing you sharon your luggage would of weighed a comlete ton,and that meens poor brons would of had to of carried it aronud with him....bless him!!lol.love you guysxxxxmarc e
Solution to the graffiti Sharon and Bronson
Thanks for your blog! I am still thinking about those delicious spring rolls from Little Hanoi.
I asked Em about the advertising, where there a phone numbers all over the walls. Apparently it is advertising for electricians and other tradesmen.
Much love and enjoy Laos,
Meg xoxo
Originally from South Africa and Australia we have both been living in London for many, many moons. An amazing city, it has kept our attention for longer than most before and it is with a bittersweet feeling that we have finally decided to leave for the sunny shores of Australia.
We have always loved to travel and have toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe, but these have always been comfortable holidays staying in nice hotels, so it is with great excitement that we have decided to see the world from a different angle, and for a much longer period of time. The plan is to backpack ... full info
