I just love Peru Thanks for letting me read about your journey in Peru. We were there many years ago and we loved it. Your blog brings back many memories. Perhaps I pick an odd favourite among your photos, the Salineras de Maras. But I did that because I thought that was a fascinating place and I think many visitors to Peru don't bother going there at all. I am glad you did and I hope you liked it. /Ake
Great Review! Great review and photos of your visit to Cusco, Machu Picchu and other sites! I can picture nearly every place you mention from our own visit there in 2014. Although we missed seeing the Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary and as we did not visit Puno we missed some of the other places you saw. Unfortunately also missed visiting Moray and Maras as I got very sick and had to spend a day in a hospital/clinic. The cocoa tea and candy sure didn't help me at all. But visiting Peru was one of the best trips we've ever been on!
Many years since we were in Peru Many years ago we were in Peru. I remember many of the places you write about but several of the sites you saw we missed. Thank you for bringing back some memories /Ake
A travel friend like you :) How nice to have a friend like you who does all the pre-travel work! Hope travelling with your childhood friend went well. April looks like a good blue-sky month for Lima, but the flooding in other parts of the country doesn't sound good. Looking forward to the remaining Peru posts :)
Thanks for nice post It’s really a helpful post that worth much. So, thank you so much for the post.

Lima An amazing adventure beginning Elton. I have posted some of your pics in our "Streetscapes" thread and "Follow that Road" thread in the Photography Forum. Check 'em out.
What how can this be? A world traveler like you and you've never been to St. Maarten. We've missed your blogs and hope you will sit down and publish a few more blogs. Please get us caught up. It sounds like we might like the French side better than the Dutch. I've heard of tourists getting killed standing underneath the airplanes flying in.
haha yes, well as I said, everything has its first time.
Yes, last year a tourist got killed because of the jet-blast from a plane taking off. She was blown away and hit her head. Will try to catch up with the blogs. Have a LOT to write, lol
The airport is a must-see I have heard of that airport and it is a must-see for sure. There is one more airport where you can see landing aircrafts almost touching the viewer, on Skiathos Island in Greece. I took some photos and a few films when I was there. You can see it in our blog from Skiathos: https://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Greece/Thessaly/Skiathos/blog-893116.html

On the Panamax We went to Panama a few years ago and of course we had a look at the Panama Canal. The Panamax ships are quite large when you see them up close. However, I had another experience in Bangladesh involving big ships that literally made me forget to breathe when I saw the actual size of them. In Bangladesh they dismantle used ships and recycle the metal. They had maybe a hundred of these gigantic vessels lined up on the beach waiting to be cut up into pieces. I then got to see the entire ship, even the part that normally is under water, and then they are truly gigantic. /Ake
Panama Revisit Yes it sounds like Panama is one of your favorites. Great to see you blogging again. Panama has gotten more popular in recent years so I was happy to see the countryside.
Panama... Good to see you travelling again Elton, and to read a blog from you (I just realised that I somehow missed your blogs earlier this year...). Panama sounds like a nice place to chill out, and the landscape looks beautiful. Safe and happy travels :)
Good to see you blogging again You are not too far from home but good to see you exploring once again. We've missed your blogs. Looks like a lot of activity on the metro. You can never go wrong with a walking tour.
Curacao Curacao is something new for me but it seems really interesting. I will like to get details about t after my https://www.topbustours.com/niagara-falls-bus-tours-vacation-packages/
Travel and going home Travel is amazing, wonderful, enchanting, enlightening and so much more. Nothing better than familiar friends and family but that urge will be back before you know it. 10 months was our longest trip so we can't imagine 2.5 years. We agree we like trips a little shorter. 2 to 6 months is enough for us moving forward. Happy travels. Please blog about home
Curaco Curaco is a new type of thing for me as i was fully blank about it but I learnt a lot about it through this blog which I will love to share with my sister as well after her cherry blossom in dc
best sharing here... wow, its a really beautiful destination and appealing to go there for enjoying my time of holidays here after ending my los angeles to lake tahoe . so sure my dad will try to join me for visiting this great place.
Bon Biní, Bienvenido, Welkom, Welcome, Benvenuto, Wilkommen!
I'm Elton, from the island of Curaçao (Southern Caribbean) where I was born, raised and currently living. I grew up in a local neighbourhood just west of Otrobanda in Willemstad. I speak Papiamentu, Dutch, Spanish, English, regular Italian and a little German. Curaçao is a small but unique Island. It's not the typical Caribbean island with just sun and beaches. It has a rich and interesting history and culture. The capital, Willemstad, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Visit Curaçao . com ... full info
