We are recently retired. Living and traveling in our RV, exploring our Country. Something we have longed to do for about 20 years. Started dreaming of this in the mid '90's. Today is our first rain since arriving in Arizona more than 3 weeks ago. Our first stop was at a small RV park in Fort Mohave. We stayed there 3 nights, while there we did some scouting in and around Laughlin, Nevada and Bullhead City, Arizona to find a camping area that was more to our liking. The small RV park was nice but crowded. We settled on a campground in Katherine Landing which has a small marina on Lake Mohave. This is part of the Lake Mead National Recreational Area. So we have been in the Barstow area for awhile. We are currently staying in a small campground in Owl Canyon, before moving here we stayed in a small RV park in Barstow called Shady Lane. We are really enjoying the campground because it is very scenic and peaceful. This area has so much to see, we have been on a hike every day, and seeking geocaches too. Rainbow Basin is adjacent to the campground and a geologic wonderland. I took lots of pictures. Also scaled quite a hill up to a small cave that had a geocache nearby. 11/24, 11/25 & 11/26 - Left Corning RV Park and headed for Merced RV Park in Delhi. Woke up to rain :( - Was hoping to out run the weather, but did not happen. It rained for the majority of our drive. When we had finally arrived to our destination for the day it was really coming down. We got the RV set up and then made a decision to stay there until after the holiday. Wednesday the weather was better and we went to a local grocery store and got some Thanksgiving day fixins. Did you know you can buy a turkey with the the legs and wings already removed? So essentially you just get the breast meat. So that is what we bought. It weighed a little over 6lbs. Perfect for us.
