I am a Dusun from Sabah (formerly North Borneo). For the past three years I have travelled extensively with my husband, Malcolm. He is retired yet lives a very active lifestyle, a.k.a travelling. Mostly, we travel between two homes, mine in Sabah (winter) and his in Spain (spring to late summer).

SABAH was first made known to the world via Agnes Newton Keith's memoir, LAND BELOW THE WIND. There are many other books out there written about Sabah, unfortunately very few local Sabahan writers had put pen to paper about our birthplace. However, a good friend of mine, Ms. Tina Kisil, has written an autobiographical book entitled FOOTPRINTS IN THE PADDY FIELDS. My dearest wish is to contribute my own memoirs of our extensive travels around Sabah, as well as other journeys.

When in our cortijo up in the Sierra de Las Estancias (Andalucia) our mobile and internet connection sucks. Therefore I won't be able to post regularly.

I hope to entertain as well as share our travel experiences and insights to members of family and friends (widely spread out around the globe) and I also hope to make new friends with fellow TB bloggers and learn from you all.

Today, I just want to be grateful for all the blessings I have received in life. It's my birthday but I hid the info on Facebook so my wall wasn't clogged up with well wishes. I am satisfied to get greetings from my closest family members and my Memoir Enthusiasts group. I shall write more when I have learned how to use this site property. I can't even upload a profile photo yet!... read more
