Jealous, me?? Looking good guys! Brilliant catching up with the Duncan's voyage on a Friday afternoon and knackered after a weeks work - picked me up a treat!!
That said I have secured a dream job that even Mr D will be jealous of - Guess which manufacturer of a machine that gives you mobility I will start with in September - 3 guesses!!
3 guesses Ok Mate - my guesses are 1. Ducati 2. Swan Yachts 3. Porsche - Glad you guys are well. We are so behind on our blog - prepare for a few more entries in the near future! We are back on 31 Jul - what are your summer plans? I guess a blow-out before Sep...?

great! nice story! when are you planning to leave Bermuda for next step? How many days are you planning on next leg? could you repair the forestay? It seems impossible you lost the forestay without loosing your mast... good job!
greetings from italy
bob
Forestay problems We were lucky that we were all on deck at the time the halyard parted. The forestay stretched but did not part and the GS52 has a keel stepped mast which would have given more support and with the staysail and running backstays connected there was additional support.
We left Bermuda over two weeks ago and are now in Flores - the first Azores island. We had a great crossing in mixed conditions. We will cruise here for a couple of weeks and then head to Gibraltar and the Med.

Mojitos! So right! We have found wild mint in the Azores and might have a go at making some. Are you guys back in the US now? We'd love to keep in touch. Best to reach Lisa at lisa@thebigevent.uk.com
Best wishes,
Gill and the Gang x

We miss your Fabulousness :) Gil and Lisa,
Your blog is hilarious and we miss the great stories you always had to tell!! We were relieved to see new postings as we had not heard from you and were getting worried. I'm sure you have just been spending your days laying around on the beach - not! Have a safe and easy crossing.

Mojito Recipe! Guys,
Lovely to hear from you. We are still in the BVIs and now struggling to get our windlass repaired. Jobs, jobs, jobs! We would have loved to have met up with you again - when are you leaving St Maarten?
It was so cool meeting you all and the boys had a lovely time with your crowd too.
We would love to have the mojito recipe when you get a minute and we'll publish it on the blog and credit you all for it and the resultant hangovers!
Best wishes,
The Fabiolas xxx

Hi Guys
It looks lovely and you all look so well and relaxed - but then you have done since the very first blog. This really does seem to suit you all!!
Nothing much to report at this end - just been inspected by SIAS and Ofsted. SIAS outcome was outstanding - still to hear regarding Ofsted. Summer term now, so sports day looming - not sure what Salmon House is going to do without two of its main players!!!
Miss you guys - Looking forward to you all returning safely.
Much love
Jackie and Gang xx
YOU B&@s%£s Guys, it looks fantastic, I am sitting in a sad hotel in Durham, working on a bank holiday, and you have just made me smile, laugh and jealous all in one!!
Brilliant and proud of you all!!!!
Rick
Journey home Rick, great to hear from you. I hear that this is the very worst winter experienced in ages so I think that we escaped on a good year. Now focused on the home leg which we start on / around 06 May from the British Virgin Islands to Bermuda and then the Azores. Hope all is well with you guys. Looking forward, in some ways, to coming home. Best wishes, Gill & the gang
Hi Guys
Really envious now - it sounds and looks absolutely idyllic. It has been raining here, non stop, all week. The ground is already saturated with more rain to follow!!! Happy days!!!
Me, Nigel and children are off skiing for week in the Easter holidays - cant wait.
Love to all xxxx
Jackie
Jackie,
That sounds like fun. I understand that Britain is under snow again. We are in St Barts now, which is very chi chi but just so expensive.
Best wishes to all the girls. Cameron was very pleased to get granted his place at St Peters and Samuel is very excited about coming back to BSPS. He has also started the count down to his birthday which he reminds of us daily - 108 days and counting!

Looks amazing Hi All Sorry for not keeping in touch, i've just caught up on all your adventures, it has been so interesting reading all the amazing places you have visited and people you have met.
The boys look so grown up and you all look healthy and chilled, although from your blogs it looks like you have had a few hiccups along the way.
I can't beleive it will be the 1st March on Friday the time has flown but hopefully not for you guys, it must be wonderful to be able to have such an amazing trip something that will give the boys far more than knowledge and life experience than school does.
I did speak brifely to Harry T's dad (forgot his name) they don't live in Bramford Speke anymore but thought you going off sailing for a short holiday!
Anyway, I'm at work but just off to collect Lucas from school he was 12 a couple of weeks ago, he hasd his party on Sunday which involved 18 boys shooting each other in some forest in Plympton, I thought we could leave them and pop back at 5 to collect but Roo and I had to stand out in the freezing cold for 8 hours!!
Anyway, I promise to contact you more often and hope you all have a fantastic remainder of your truly magical trip.
Take care.
All our love
Mel and Lucas

Lisa, Gill, Cameron and Samuel have left their comfortable lives in Devon to fulfil a long-held dream to sail the Atlantic as a family. We normally live in Devon but are now embarking aboard Fabiola, Grandpa's beautiful Grand Soleil 52. We start in Turkey and are heading through the Mediterranean, across the Atlantic and around the Caribbean before bringing Fabiola back to the UK. This is our story... ... full info
