G'day Hi guys, looks like you are having a great time - all that Italian food is not having it's effects is it? It has been really enjoyable reading and viewing your travels. Can't wait to join the empty-nesters so that we can do some trekking of our own. Cheers,
Greg
The dress that got away... But mumma - you were saving up for this holiday just to fly over to buy a dress like this one - Go buy it and feel guilty later!!
xx
magic! Your photo's are stunning! Glad you didn't do anything overly impulsive and get married over there without us - swept up in the romance of it all. Of course, we do want you to tie the knot.. but not without us there!! hehe.
Sounds like you are having the time of your lives. I gather you have found your new favourite spot? - Perhaps one that is even worth re-visiting? I'm glad you are loving Italy as much as I did - and that after all my talking the country up you wont be coming home disappointed.
Shame you had to let that dress go Mother - it would have looked beautiful on you! In fact, it wont look as beautiful on anyone else.
You may well be the only two folks ever to return from Italy without putting on weight - with all the uphill walking and all.
Love you and miss you heaps,
Sare xx
lovely Hi guys,
Your photo's are lovely. I'm glad you are enjoying Italy and all the historic wonders it beholds.
I hope you have bought some nice clothes in Milan and come back all fashionable like - not that you aren't already of course! :)
Shame you didn't get to talk to the pontiff. I do hope he left you a note to appologise for not being there.
Miss you guys.... stay safe. I love reading about your adventures.
Lots of love,
Sare
MONEY SHOT Wow - now that I what I call a MONEY SHOT!! and the funniest part is I know that one of you would have run to set the camera timer... then sprinted back to look 'relaxed' to capture this one!
xx
Vino! The scenery looks gorgeous. After looking at your pics I've been on the net day dreaming about a holiday for US!
I hope you've been getting your fill of home-made pasta and yummy red wine - AND I hope you are bringing some recipe's home!!
I can just imagine you trying to drive over there Rusty.... of course... they say driving in Paris is even worst! (if you can imagine it). I bet Mum has been clutching onto several parts of the car - all nervous like - just as she did when I was learning to drive! hehe
Can't wait to hear your next update!!!
ps. was lovely to get a call from you the other night Mum :)
Lots of love, Sare xxx
the lake... Hi mum,
I think you forgot to mention the Lake sized swimming pool - I totally expect to see a few photos of you and Russell enjoying the the summer days on here!!!
xx
Bonjourno! Hi hi!
So glad you've arrived safely and are enjoying the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of Italy!
You must need to re-add me to your email list, because I only found your blog by coming to the site and searching for it. I got no email notification :(
Did you get my sms the other day? In case you didn't... Leigh Mathews has quit as the coach of the Brisbane Lions and Michael Voss has been contracted to take his place.
Oh, and the Bronco's won on the weekend.
So, that gets you back up to date with the sports news at home.
Continue to have a wonderful time and keep up the blogs.
Love you both,
Sare xx
Hi from Calgary Hi Dot and Lui:
I've really enjoyed your blogging and now I know what you were up to all those times we would cross paths in the internet cafes. Sounds like La Paz was an interesting city, as were all the ones we visited in Peru.
We got home to Canada on Sat. without a hitch, all (amazingly) of our flights and connections (bus rides etc.) were all on time. I was much relieved to be home and I enjoyed a long, hot and luxurious bath when we arrived in Calgary. Glenn has developed (already) his 60 rolls of film he took in Peru and there are some real beauts.
We enjoyed meeting you both. Please check out Glenn's website and tell us what you think, www.glennolson.net. Perhaps soon there will be a Peru-inspired limited edition print up on the website. Glenn certainly has lots of material to do a painting of our trip.
Cheers,
Carmen

Ola That view from your hotel room is spectacular! I sure hope that you didn't pay for the 'view rate' at your hotel!!!
I'm very glad to hear that your enjoying yourself and mum's working her magic to procure you the best seats... (work it mum!). I've always wanted to see the catacombs so take some photos for me!

Love you guys.. Please stay safe

It takes two to tango! Hi Mum and Roos-sell. Sounds like you are already having a blast. Tango sounds fabulous... we should join you in that fad (I would love to learn) if I manage to drag Lisa along (she isn't too keen!). Have a great trip to Peru, and I look forward to reading your next installment.
Lots of love,
Sare (Lise says hi too) xxx
PS. Roos... now you know how frustrated I got trying to write to you all from Hungary and Poland - Lithuania was lucky to even HAVE a computer. Darn international keyboards!
Another Russ in BA? Ha, yes they struggle to pronounce Russell here, but they seem to have even more problem with Russ (Rush, Roos, Ross, Ruz, Russia!).
Enjoy Peru. Missed out on the M.P. trip so look forward to seeing your pictures.
Looooooooooove You Hi Mum and Rusty,
