Today we will meet for the first time! On arrival at their home Chris and Glenn had arranged for the four of us to headed out on a boat cruise of Naples Harbour. Enjoyable time visiting and viewing multi million dollar homes. Saw many dolphins along the way. We then drove through the downtown area of Naples which looks lovely. Geo: 26.4789, -81.7788After breakfast at our hotel we were unable to find Jim's prescription sunglasses but asked the hotel to watch for them. We then had Uber pick us up (we love Uber!) and take us to Hertz car rental. It took forever to get our reserved car rental. We drove the Everglades Parkway to the West Coast of Florida. Not very scenic as Florida is flat nd swampy!We arrived at our lovely exchange home which had a nice pool area. After getting settled in we headed out for a late lunch and to pick up a few groceries. Upon our return we realized we were locked out. Fortunately, once we talked to the owners in Kansas that was resolved. We spent the rest of the day by the pool. ... read more

Geo: 41.8861, -87.6364After breakfast we headed out to Navy Pier. It is a beautiful sunny day and we are going on the ferris wheel. The ferris wheel holds 180 riders and loads six cars at a time, then stops to load six more, and so on. Once the ride is fully loaded, riders get another two revolutions, a 12-minute ride in all, so each car will go over the top at least three times. Geo: 41.8861, -87.6364Today we caught the Big Bus tour near our condo and enjoyed seeing and hearing about Chicago's attractions. So many amazing skyscrapers, especially Willis Tower with its 108 stories. After our tour we hopped off the bus at Portillo's which is famous for its Chicago hot dog and Italian beef sandwich. It was a yummy lunch. From there we walked back to our condo, stopping to pick up some famous Garibaldi Popcorn. In the evening we walked the beach boardwalk and around Navy Pier.... read more
