Geo: -33.0393, -71.6273Today we had a wonderful time exploring Valparaiso. Valparaiso is a unique, decaying city located on steep hills overlooking the harbour. We started by going down to see the Tall Ships in the harbour. There were eleven ships from different areas of South and Central America. From there we took one of the many funiculars to a lovely older area of Valparaiso for lunch. ... read more

Geo: -13.1628, -72.5158Arrived in Aguas Callientes after a scenic train ride from Pisco Cucho. During the ride we saw a lot of flood damage from the terrible floods they encountered three months ago. Machu Picchu only recently re-opened. We were very lucky with our timing to see it. Once in Aguas Callentes we took a bus up to Machu Picchu. It was amazing to see and the weather was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It was quite a journey to get there, but totally worth it. We loved Machu Picchu and it is definitely a highlight of our trip.... read more

Geo: -13.3111, -72.1152We had a wonderful day exploring the Sacred Valley today. We started with a visit to Chinchero which is an Inca village where locals still live and sell their crafts. The scenery surrounding this area is very beautiful and the Inca walls and terraces were amazing. We then visited Moray which is believed to be an Inca agricultural test area. Very interesting and we enjoyed hiking thru the site. Lunch was at a spot that had macaws and llamas for us to view. We then continued thru the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo. It was very interesting to hike around these very impressive Inca ruins. We then spent the night in Urubamba.... read more
