Geo: -16.3254, -145.621Today after receiving another beautiful lei from our hosts we flew back to Tahiti for our flight to the island of Fakarava. It was a two hour flight and then a one and a half hour speedboat ride. But Raimiti was everything we had hoped it would be for us. We are staying here with one other couple from London, and we have this beautiful isolated destination to ourselves. We are staying in thatched huts with no electricity, but we do have running hot and cold water. The atoll is a tropical paradise. The meals are outstanding. We may not leave!!!... read more

Geo: -16.444, -152.257Today we had another day of snorkelling, beach walking, and wonderful food. We also did some kayaking in the lagoon and did a hike to a mountain on the island of Maupiti. The weather is amazing and our hosts are great.... read more

Geo: -16.444, -152.257We had a nice one hour flight from Tahiti to Maupiti. We were greeted with beautiful lei's from our guesthouse hosts Gerald and Josie, before being transported by boat to our lovely motu oasis. We enjoyed a lovely tropical breakfast on arrival. Then it was out for a boat ride around the beautiful lagoon. We had two sightings of Manta Rays which was amazing. We spent the day snorkelling and walking the remote beaches. In the evening we feasted on wonderful seafood. Life is rough!!... read more

Geo: -27.1105, -109.363Hello from Easter Island.We arrived here two days ago and it is beautiful. It is so nice to be back in the South Pacific.We have enjoyed lovely weather averaging around 25C and a nice humidity. We are staying at a cute beach cottage just a short walk from town. Yesterday we did a guided trip around the southern part of the island. Today and tomorrow we have rented a car so we can explore at our leisure. The moai (heads) are amazing to see. We have really enjoyed learning the history of this remote island.... read more

Geo: -32.5539, -71.4577We started our day with a nice walk along the ocean. We then went to view a little island off the coast that has penguins, pelicans and a few other types of birds. Geo: -31.6986, -70.7583Today we headed up the coast of Chile to a small oceanside town called Zapallar. We enjoyed the lovely ocean scenery along the way. We are staying in a wonderful old hotel with a fabulous view of the ocean. We can hear the waves crashing in all day long. We spent part of our day wandering along the beach and for lunch we enjoyed empanadas and beer.... read more
