Keith and I left Montreal on the 9:30am Amtrak train headed to Westport, NY. When we stepped outside it was icy and completed covered with snow. Even the taxi driver complained about it being so cold. Of course my camera battery went dead when we headed out and I couldn't find my charger. We took a few pics with my phone but they don't show the beautiful scenery that we saw on the train. The view was just unbelievable (Lake Champlaine frozen over with ice fisherman here and there, beautiful snow covered rivers and trees). We arrived to the train depot in Westport, NY around 2pm. This depot had Norman Rockwell written all over it. When we arrived we soon realized we did not have a ticket to get to Lake Placid. So, we paid Bob
