This is a study abroad experience with Cleveland State University. I am going with 11 other undergraduate and graduate students. We are staying at the Loyola College of Social Sciences. My professor, Dr. Murali Nair, has been taking students for 15 years to this area of the country. We have a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the culture as well as observe the social issues. The program includes tours of historic sites as well as cultural activities, such as attending a traditional wedding ceremony, participating in classical Indian dance and music performances, shopping at artisan markets, and visiting wildlife habitats, mountains, and beaches.
