Whilst in Pai, a Thai man had drawn us a map showing us the ways we could get to Chaing Rai. We decided to be brave (and tight with our money) and avoid using the tourist bus to get from Pai to Chaing Rai, we opted for the local bus. Everything was running smoothly, we had managed to get to Mae Malay, change buses there, got to Fang and then we were told the next bus to Chaing Rai was 2pm tomorrow. This was pretty annoying as there is nothing in Fang. It’s Thailand’s equivalent to Barnsley. We managed to get a hotel and we walked around the town that night before finally finding somewhere we could eat. We got up pretty early the next day and decided to make our own way to Chaing Rai,
