Well with the first semester completed, finishing with an exam in Finance I was very pleased of how it went, I have learned a lot so far. I am still awaiting on my finance result, but from the studying I did, I think I did good enough! With our first game back from Christmas Break getting canceled last weekend because of the weather in Dublin, it was postponed to this weekend. I believe it benefited our team because it gave us an extra week of practice and preparation for the game. We played DCU down in Dublin, we lost to this team by 30 in the second game of the season, but this time it was a different result. We won! We beat DCU by 11 and I think overall it was the best game we ... read more

Getting to go home for Christmas and New Years was an awesome time. Being able to see friends and family for ten days was a great time and sort of re-energized me to come back over here and have a great second half of the season. While home I saw Avatar 3-D and if anyone has not seen it yet, i recommend you to see it. It is a great movie and I believe it has started a new generation of movies for our generation. 3-D is amazing but takes time to get used to, I got a little dizzy at the beginning, but got used to it. Santa was very generous to me this Christmas which means I must of been a good boy. I got a lot of clothes, shoes, gift cards and money, ... read more

I cannot believe I am back home in Virginia..it is such a great feeling, nothing like being home for the Holidays. It was a long day of traveling i have to say though. My teammate and I were on the same flight leaving from Dublin at 1:50. So we had to get a bus from Belfast at 8:30 to head to Dublin. This was after our team Christmas party so we were running off no sleep, but we managed to do it! We left Dublin a little late by still made it on time to Boston at 4 US time. I had no phone so i had to ask people around me to use their cell phones, it was pretty embarrassing, but now I know how it feels not to have a cell phone and I ... read more

It couldnt have been a better time for the family to come visit. I was at the point when I was missing home and then my dad, sister and justin came for Thanksgiving. I guess the feeling of Thanksgiving made me miss home and it was wierd not being with the whole family because they dont celebrate it over here, but having them here was awesome. They had a busy trip, got here Wednesday morning n we started things right away. We did a Black Taxi tour of belfast, and I will put pictures up so you can see it all, then they came to see my team practice and by the time that was done they were exhausted from no sleep. Thursday unfortunatley I couldnt be with them becasue I had to go to class, ... read more

For all that dont know, they dont celebrate Thanksgiving over here, just thought I start off with that to confirm that with people back at home! But it is 1245 in the morning so for me it is Thanksgiving so I want to be the first to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone back at home. Since it isnt a holiday over here, I will be going to class tomorrow which will be a little wierd for me. My dad, sister and brother arrived today, my mom couldnt make the trip, she is in Miami with my grandparents. Mom I hope you are staying warm because it is about 30 degrees here with a ton of wind, wish you were here though! We had an awesome first day in Belfast. They are staying at the Europa, which ... read more

Halloween over here in Northern Ireland is quite the Holiday and let me tell yeah, i got the full experience of Halloween over here. People started dressing up as early as Wednesday over here which is pretty cool, saw some awesome costumes! Where we get our free meal a day (Randalphs) the waitresses dressed up Friday and Saturday and they were all creative. Some of the costumes were a Pregnant Nun, Plumber, Witch and Devil. It was my two favorite days to go into Randy's. Saturday we had another SuperLeague game. It was against the defending champions UCC Demons. They were from Cork which is down south. Even for our game people dressed up for our game. I loved their dedication to Halloween over here. We started the game on fire, pulling out to a 28-7 ... read more

I cannot believe we are already starting our 6th week of the semester. That means we are half way through the semester!! I guess they are right, time flies when you are having a great time! Saturday was the day that we turned our clocks back an hour, so it was an extra hour of sleeping on Sunday for me!! This weekend was a step in the right direction for our team. We lost our game by 11, but showed massive improvements from last game. We went on the road and played Killester who is a very talented team in the Super League. We hung tough throughout the game and never gave up. We played a lot better as a team and by that we doubled our assists from last game. We had 12 assist again ... read more

The beginning of the week has been good so far. Teaching class Monday morning was very good, I let the kids play 5on5 for the first time and they actually did a great job. The week before I tried to teach them the concept of screening and they had a tough time tackling the idea of it. So i finally got the chance to give homework to the students and it felt great, guess what the homework was?!?! I made them go on youtube and watch my screen on Nolan Smith and the only question they had to answer so I could make sure they did it was who was the team i set the screen on, im guessing im a pretty easy teacher!! The only downfall of my Monday was the conditioning i had to ... read more
