Rye Hello dear,
I have only gotten half way through this one (break from work :P)
I loved Rye, on one side of the canal/river (the boat harbourish side) there is a seat dedicated to my Grandad (mums dad) Doc Thompson. I had the best scones ever there aswell, in a little place called Fletchers and the owner served us and chatted with us which was lovely (he wasnt too bad either). opkay lots of love

Inner Strength Hi Murph,
Just remember that deep inside you have an inner strength that will guide you through not only the good times but also the hard times. You are being the most courageous and brave person I know who has taken the bull by the horns and is out there exploring the world and learning to grow even to an even more beautiful person than you already are. We all love and miss you and cant wait for your return. Enjoy your time away and know that we will all be here when you come back. Love you lots. Mum.
I'm.Just.Jealous.
(theres nothing wrong with those green aprons... one fit me quite snuggly all the while i was pregnant with the Connect 4 queen. )
it's so good youre writing all these things down... but you know even in years to come, youre going to be remembering those elbow-jabbing commutes!
(yay for planning next adventures...!!!)
Score! I am actually, if you didnt know already, trying to take over the planet, one soy-conversion at a time. I have helpers.
What an awesome journey you are going on, D. That read like a little kiddie rollercoaster, smooth and seamless, but I could still feel the emotions riding high, and dipping a little. Fantastic of you to create a semi-plan... good idea. And yeah, you should try and include seeing those pesky people in America.. wherever they are. It has to be done.
I loved reading about Maidstone and Kent... having been there, I can visualise it so much more.. and I feel like I know Nanny May anyways... yay :)
Ok, this is clearly turning into my own blog post... I'll stop now.. and just say...
Yay to spain. Yay to semi-plans. Yay to soy !
Yay to you and this whole damn trip :)
awww.. its funny.. ive been to all those places before.. yet.. gulp... 9 years ago ! how old am i ?!?!
sounds like youre having an awesome time, then again.. i know you are... xxx
im still pissed your bear is orange. hiding secrets from me ... bah !!! ;-)
love you, and your funky hair cut. i love it !! inspirational for sure!
points to consider 1. damn you and your spring like weather, while im over here dying of a winter that will never end.
2. love the tulips, and the tulip trench.
3. the pigeon must have been counting calories/watching it's figure. we all know that 14 almonds is exactly one half of a standard serving. really. i know these things.
4. the british colonised everything that moved. its ok. we got them back with vegemite.
Hey Danielle!
I just got back from Cervantes again sorry I havent emailed yet you know how rocking Perth is (not...) i just havent had time!! On a more exciting note..I am one step closer to legally driving a car got to the licencing center this morning finally!! so got my Ls..(just gotta convince mum to let me drive her car now hehe!) So whilst a was away a little birdy told me you smutted Paul Young???? What the? A long time coming hey haha How old is he? Hehe I am spreading the rumors worldwide that your getting it on with old men HAHAHA. Bugger Campbell is grizzling again! Ah off to entertain him Miss you lots and love you too. Talk soon xxs to nanny May xoxo
ps get a pic of her teeth..you know what I mean :) Hehe Just for old times sake :)
Not Fair And I thought New York had "everything".....
You might have been born in the 80's... but that doesn't make you an 80's girl. You weren't old enough to appreciate the *true* memories, the deep, *intense* fashion styles, the love of the plastic bangles and the power of the cheap hairspray.
;-)
Sing, baby.. sing.... have an awesome time, and just know I'm sitting back here totally jealous, and completely jaded that all I have is random offerings of the My Chemical Romance, or Bon Jovi, or R.E.M.... ooh.. R.E.M.............
What have you done?!?!?! Mate, I was just reading the latest NY entry and thinking how nicely your hair was growing and how nice it was looking, and now I see you've chopped it again! I'm devastated!
But I will get over it, particularly if you keep wearing that top in the "Moi" photo!!!
Miss ya mate.
You held out... you never told me bugalugs was orange. Traitor!
Eric said nice haircut.. you look like Morrissey.
( I think you look hot, and I'm just glad he was looking at your haircut and not a little further south in the picture!!)
Is that the new top you said you bought? Nice.... hope it was from Camden Markets.. I love that place...
damnit you made me cry again.. and NY... it rained all day...all damn day.
you're right..there are many bridges.. but you missed one, that has a very 'poignant' name. it's one that's not very glamorous, in structure, but i always like to cross it, as it reminds me of home. 'the kosciuszko' bridge... :)
and i hardly think people are wanting to talk to you because of the book in your hand, missy. do an experiment. pick up a copy of "calvin and hobbes".... i bet you get the same reaction.
i was in century yesterday, and someone was trying on hot, bright, yellow designer yellow stilettos. i wanted to push her over. you weren't there to laugh, so i spared her.
xx hope the UK is full of laughter and fun; learning and fulfillment, much the same as NY has been for you.
Move over Zagat! My God you know how to travel! I'm gonna have a hard time remmebereing all tehse recommendations, but it sounds like you are an expert now! Well done! Glad you are having such a brill time!
clarification and needed comments 1. the mojitos were far, far too small, but divine;
2. the kangaroo ride was at 4am; we were boozed, and our faces show accordingly;
3. you forgot ethiopian food. and no, it's not food from UNICEF;
4. icarly;
5. everyone is coming to margaret river to go surfing. it's going to be a brooklyn outing, spurred on by you, and your cultural exuberance'
6. you made me cry. again.
come back. enough with London. connect four is still waiting for you. she'll even let you win.
rain down, on me you just made me cry, bitch !
The UN mightn't have wanted you, but we sure did... and yes.. you did all that.. walked...saw...visited..gave..shared... but above everything.. you were just you.. doing you things.. being the amazing, beautiful soul that you are.
And I'm going to miss you. That much is true.
If you don't come back.. I *will* come stalk you. I have powers.
yay i noticed you didnt display a photo of you in the afore mentioned nanny may inspired sequined frock... hmn???
NY is very happy to have you here. in fact... we mightn't let you re-board the plane. nope. nope. nope.
There are too many sticks to chew.
x
