Where the wind blows Great blog of what sounds like a fabulous time. How wonderful you could meet up with old friends from the road and venture forth. Would love to see more pics of the ancient carvings as not an area i am familiar with.
Hi David, I forgot my camera the first day I was out so had to snap pics with my phone instead. I"ll see can I go about transferring to the blog from there !
Amazon visit Hey Dave
Great blogs! My wife and I have travelled in many of these parts and your blogs are fun and nostalgic. We both love Latin America and planning our next trip there already. We will be heading to Bolivia after the New Year and were considering heading to Rurrenabaque to go to the Amazon - do you remember the name of the company you travelled with?
Safe travels in Colombia
Dave (and Theresa)
Hi Theresa,
I do indeed as a friend in turn had recommended them to me. The name is Max Jungle. You can book in advance on their website or call into their office in Rurrenbaque as they have tours going everyday or two from what I could see.
Hi! Considering this pic of you was taken in a nunnery in Peru...its pretty cool. Great blog. You are obviously having a great time. Hope Galapagos is extra special. Enjoy.
Bolivia to Chile I have always wanted to visit the Atacama Desert so in Jan/Feb 2015 I am doing it. I am thus researching Bolivia to Chile by taking a route from Sucre to Potosi to Uyuni to San Pedro de Atacama or maybe start in Uyuni as its volcanoes and colours I'm most after. Your blog makes me think I should start in Sucre and not miss Potasi under any circumstances. What do you think?
Hello sir! Sucre is a beautiful city and while you might not get spectaclular photos there, it is the people and the atmospere that make it extra special. 100% safe and was my favourite place in Bolivia. Most buses have to pass by Potosi on their way to Uyuni so therefore that answers your question in a way - its one of the top historical places in Bolivia to visit. Uyuni and Atacama speak for themselves not just from my pictures but also the plenty of other pictures you will find online!
Hi all,
I've moved the Asia blog to www.polarsteps.com/DaveBerney/280610-southern-asia-and-india.
Polarsteps is easier to navigate and includes an up to date map with GPS. You don't need to download the app, just copying the link into the menu bar in Google chrome or internet explorer will bring you to the page.
