Over the last five years I have traveled a lot! Most of the trips have been for work but I have always tried to make even those trips adventures. My blog won't just be about the places I have been. It will be more about the people I have met and the crazy situations I tend to get myself in.

Here are the topics I will cover and why 😊

First Impressions - Because they are everything right?

The Hotel: I do have to sleep

The Pool: My favorite activity (most of the time)

Interesting People: The fun stuff!

Massages: A must have after being on a plane for 10 or more hours

Food: 2nd Favorite activity is eating 😊

Toilets - Because who knew they would be different...and its useful information 😉

The work: They paid for it

Touristy Stuff: More fun stuff

Things that made me go hmmmm... because we all have those moments when traveling

Egypt has always been top of my list of places to visit. I didn't really have any real reason besides the sheer beauty and mystery of the pyramids. I mean come on...what else is that old? I have seen the oldest remains in Italy but these are even older and in much better shape. First Impressions - The airport was super confusing...apparently you have to have a VISA for Egypt, which I didn't realize until I had already waited in line at immigration for 15mins. The VISA costs $15 and you get it from what looks like a money exchange window...but there are NO signs! It was frustrating because I didn't have any US money and there were no ATM machines...luckily I dug around in my bag and found a hidden $20 bill. The other interesting ... read more

I flew Emirates airlines to India so I had a layover in Dubai...I decided to take advantage of the layover and stay for a day. It really was too short but I tried to make the best of it. First Impressions - It was absolutely beautiful! Even the airport was gorgeous (and the sexy immigration guy). As I have mentioned before the scariest part of traveling by yourself could be getting out of the airport. You never know if you will get into the wrong cab. Well in Dubai the cabs are run by the government so I felt more secure...even when the cab driver told me that my hotel did not exist (he eventually found it). He was a nice guy but I have to admit I was a little worried. He was going to ... read more

I am starting my blog with my most recent trip - India and Dubai. As I type I am in India but I haven't had any adventures since I arrived yesterday, well none that are too exciting. First Impressions: I arrived at 4:00am - getting out of the airport (which is always the scariest part of travel) was different. The Swine Flu became an issue in April of 2009 (when I was returning from the Philippines) but even in Sept they were taking it very serious. The first thing you encounter when disembarking are doctors. There are several tables of doctors - they collect H1N1 documentation but what I don't know is what they do with you if they think you are suspect. I didn't have a phone number on my questionaire so they stop me ... read more
