Obviously.... ....you've NEVER been to New Orleans!!
"All the bars are stuffed with people and they just spill out onto the streets. And get this....with GLASS cups...that would NEVER happen in the States. It kinda makes for a fun atmosphere though. "
Try to make it sometime! Mike
fun stuff Nice camels guys!!! Are they sloppy kissers bird? The beach looks great, and the weather a match. When you get home, you'll have to tell more about the wind/kite surfing. Not something I'd expect in Africa. Enjoy your remaining time kids, and stay safe. We love you both! Dad and Barb
Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both Merce and Walker have visited Morocco and both loved it!!! Walker only left after about two weeks when he heard about the earthquakes here and wanted to come back and help. Merce had some taxi driver take her up into the mountains (Atlas?) out of Rabat and stop. Within minutes she had collected a whole series of the rocks w/ petrified crustacians...or the markings of them: trilobytes, etc.
If you want some, but don't want to carry rocks...mail 'em. Maybe cuz we're rock hounds, but we really treasure them.
I don't remember if I ever added anything about your last post...when Tenille was sick and Rayan was "doing whatever Ryan does" plus a lot of rowing. I assume this was written by Tenille and a clearer picture into her soul has never been produced. Also, my second thought was these two folks are good for each other and it sounds like a very happy and HEALTHY relationship. I'm proud of you both and assume that I taught you all the good stuff!!!!
wow Great stuff. I'm hung over talking about the American Revolution all day and this definitely helped me get through the day. The picture of Ryan with a huge beer and huge pretzel is exactly how i remember Munich. Congrats on the travels. Some day I'll get to Prague too.
howdy Hi you two! Been busy? Ryan, thanks for taking care of my baby. Sorry for the lack of comments, but I've been out of town for the last 3 weeks. I'll do better, promise. Seems like you two are on quite a schedule. I'll bet the time is flying by. Just a little over a month and we'll have you two back home. Enjoy the rest of your trip. We think of you always. Take care, be safe and have a ball. Love you both! Dad
Hey guys! Hey there! Just got the email with the link to your blog. Just laughed after reading the account of randomly finding me at the same pub crawl in Berlin. Still can't believe that happened!! You forgot the part where Tenille had pointed me out saying I looked like one of her friends earlier and you agreed when you obviously hadn't really looked.. :) Hope you guys are still having a blast!! Let me know when you get back to the states. Then it will be time to drink it up in NYC!!
Nice cut Ryan--- your still look adorable!! They are all jealous!!!! Enjoying
your blogs and Bretts comments!!!!!!!!!! your the man Brett!!!
we miss you!!!!!
The Richardsons Hey Tenil,
This Barcelon place sounds great. If my family moved out there, it wouldn't be so strange for us to eat as late as we do. I'm gonna talk to Shirley and Ray about this and see what they think.
Where are the Boobs Hey RY,
You look like Blaine with that ugly haircut. By the way why didnt you take pictures of the topless woman at the Barcelona cafes. Nobody cares about pictures of the half built church. There 5 churches in every town in America. Bring on the topless spaniard chicks
Soon Come Paolita Minervini will arrive Barcelona next week to begin her Master's program there! All of Merce's family speak Catalan and IT IS WIERD!! If you go north of Barcelona to the small town of Sarreal (sp?) there is a statue to her g'g'father who came to El Salvador from there and then started bringing family members, and thus many of the the hardware businesses in ES were started: Llort, Miro, Vidri, Panades, etc. Just a little historical tidbit...if you go there, look for Llorts and mention El Salvador...you'll be well treated!
Ry, I agree w/ your Dad about the haircut. Hell, even Tenille could have done a better job!!
So cute! You two are so cute! I am really enjoying your stories and pictures. I have seen many of the places you are visiting and it's fun to watch you delight in the same things I did. Keep it up!
Rocks and Hot Dogs! I remember that on the Cote d'Azure I was seriously disappointed in the beaches cuz they were all full of rocks! But I was seriously impressed by the hot dogs being sold from push carts where stuck the bun down on a large, heated spike, then stuck the weiner down in the hole left by the spike in the heated bun!! And the mustard was delicious! I hope you're going to hit Spain and the Spanish beaches...I think we had a beautiful hotel room w/ bkfast and a bottle of wine for about $7.00/day. Of course, a lot was different in 1966!!!!!!!!!
not as hot here Hi Guys! I've been reading these cool journal entries and staring at your winning smiles in front of an amazing backround. Have you been to a hostel even more filthy than the stance? You were here for the opening of Stance 2 right? Fijanse que there is now a stance 3 which is... less filthy. Well, Live it up! I've really been enjoying getting your emails. I'm writing you from the beautiful "city of the cumbia" which I think they forgot how to play or something because all I hear is really loud reggeton. Whatever you both know San Vincente well. Yep, I now have Barb cracking a whip at me and am in charge of 26 starry eyed trainees. I'm doing my best to take care of your little Maria too. I've gotten Caroline and Kate Keneally to make the last 2 hand offs, a little less sketch. Looks like I'll be staying here in Good ol El Sal for another year too. Long story, I'll tell ya when I have time. If Barbra sees me playing too much I get sent to clean the toilets. One love.

Ciao! Hey Wilbur and Tenille,
Ciao! I hope you guys liked Venezia and were able to take a gondola ride. Can't wait to see the other places you traveled to in Italy. Have some fun for me. Cya soon!
What a beautiful place! I'm sure your fitting in just fine. Nice picture marionettes!!! Who was the schmuck? He looked like a wiener!!! Just kidding Ryan. Looking forward to seeing you two after your trip. We miss you and think of you daily. What's next? Be safe! Love you, Dad and Barb
What? Are you two 4? And I was just about to congratulate you two on finally stopping to desecrate national monuments with your perty little heads and then came the marionettes... Well, at least now you two have found your place in europe posing in front of signs that say schmuck and wiener. Felicidades.
Looks like you are having a great time ! I just shared the photos and story with your mom, Tenille. She is so pleased that you are having this experience...and I saw a tear in her eye !! We love you !
Stay safe and happy
Susie
Jealous Hey Ryan.....just thought I would say hello and tell you how I have been enjoying your pictures!!! It seems like an awesome time and I pretty much am really jealous. Hope you are having fun!!! Be careful.
Hi, you two. I have really enjoyed these pictures. Very, very exciting time, I'm sure. Wish we were all there! Ryan, did you actually finish that huge beer? You don't have to answer...... Always in our thoughts.
XO Mrs. H.
After more than 2 years in Jujutla and Las Trancas, it is time to move on. The plan is to travel Western and Eastern Europe in three months and return Stateside just before Thanksgiving. Instead of group emails this blog will be used to tell the stories, see the pics, and follow us as we make our way from the Dutch windmills of The Netherlands to the Swiss Alps to the African tip of Morocco and east towards the Greek islands. Enjoy and hope to hear from you soon!... full info
