Wowza! I continue to be amazed and impressed by you both. Just think how kick-ass your immune systems will be in 2 years. ? More importantly, the strawberries look incredible!!! ???
Love It! Hey Guys! I love reading your blog and the Youtube slideshow was great! Keep up the good work you are doing and hang it there for the crazy stuff. What do they say, poop happens???
To the Adventurers I admire your courage to be such adventurers for the good of humankind clear across the world. You will be in my thoughts in prayers as you continue your journey, and I will enjoy following your footsteps from afar.
Enjoying the pics...keep them coming! When do you actually start doing the Peace Corps bit? I expected you'd have dug 100 wells by now..and planted some crops or something? ;)
Haven't heard of shooting the dogs for population control as of yet. How sad! I'm not sure what's worse, the dogs getting shot in Morocco or being eaten in various parts of Asia (which I was also told is population control). Curious to see where your next destination will be! :)
Having had some experience teaching ESL abroad and in the States, I can really appreciate the challenges of teaching English to students who speak no English and with little to no class supplies. Sounds like you are both doing a great job. Really interesting blogs and looking forward to read more!
Brrrr! I continue to be amazed and impressed by you two. Dirty and cold, but you still have huge smiles on your faces! Hope warm weather comes you way soon!!
Pretty nice digs Glad it's not all completely work. I like the tile work. The brilliant blue sky is something that grabs my attention on nearly every exterior photo you take. Keep it all coming!

Great Adventure! Ann and Clay: I finally got Elise to remember to send me your link to your blog. Instead of working, like I should be, I sat and got caught up on your adventures. I'm so proud of you! Arabic is a very difficult language to learn but I have confidence that you two can do it! Keep writing, keep learning and teaching and know we are thinking about you! Salaam Alaykum!
Loved your story. It was all so interesting. Do they eat like that all the time? How do they stay so trim? Loved the video and all the pictures. The sky over there is such a beautiful shade of blue. Enjoyed seeing pictures of the oven outside. How long does it take to bake bread in that? The family pictures were wonderful, as were the pictures taken inside. Love the doors! I cannot imagine eating only with my right hand and no silverware. How is the meat or chicken torn apart with your right hand only? Way to difficult for me!!!! Take care-Love you guys!
Aunt P: Glad you are enjoying the blog. It does not take too long to cook the bread and it is delicious! We are hoping not to become to round (like the bread)!
Enjoyed the post and the pictures Dear Sis and Clay, C. and I enjoyed the post and pictures this morning on our day off. You gave us some ideas for what to serve dinner guests tonight. Have a great week! Love, S
kids and photos I really enjoyed your story and photos. Loved the drawings, and the children's smiling faces. They always look so happy. What was the age range within your group? Loved the man who took you to office supply store and then came back to check on you. How caring and thoughtful was that? In this country, if someone came back to check on you, we would probably report that person to the police. :)
Great Pics... The sky seems to be a brilliant blue there. I can't help but remember the scene in Patton with the Moroccan military parade...how Patton made a big deal over the Moroccan uniforms. Seems like you're acclimating well.

RE: Loving the detailed stories and the great photos! It seems as if you two are doing very well with this dramatic change in lifestyle. Not sure how dinner at 10:15 pm would do for me! The food sounds so yummy for the most part. I would weigh 200 lbs in no time.
Take care, Sharon

Making our long-time dream of foreign service become a reality, we sold our house and cars, closed our law practice and said a loving goodbye to family and friends. We began our trek with the Peace Corps in January 2013, in the Kingdom of Morocco, with enthusiasm and honor. For those of you who follow along, we will do our best to help you experience our new adventure with us.
