The East coast, it turns out, has a LOT to offer. I'm in Byron at one of the travel agents providing free internet in the hope that I will book something through them. I'm not gonna, but they don't need to know that. Leaving Sydney was hard. But made much easier when the Oz Experience crew I'm with were nice and chatty. We broke down just after leaving the city, so had to mill about at 7am waiting for a replacement, but on the upside got to watch 7 episodes of Bondi Rescue en route to Surf Camp. Had fun times that evening with an amazing BBQ provided by Mojo's and played Twister. I was the 3 times champion. YES. I win. We got hammered pretty early, meaning we went to bed really early, and ended ... read more

I had to double check I was using the word quaffing in the right context....Urban Dictionary informed me that yes, in fact I was. Quaffing - Its like drinking, but you spill more. That, by the way, was the polite 'Urban' use of the word. It's that time again. I can't believe it's been 6 days since I last wrote. Time here seems to be flying, probably because it's potentially the final half of my trip. Tuesday I went to the Blue Mountains. It was an organised trip I went for in the end as it was getting near the same ammount to do go with public transport. And at least with Oz Exp, you get some chat about where you're heading and they even give nature info. I learnt all about the lyre bird and ... read more

Where was I? Melbourne I think, with the prospect of Mark Watson looming. He was excellent, which pleased me as I had persuaded Jens, my friendly Irish sounding Sweedish roommate to come along with me. But the comedy was good and we went out to sample the delights of St Kilda nightlife after. I spent the next day recovering, and didn't do very much, which kinda disappointed me because I should have been more touristy and seen some more sights. But didn't whoops. And the following day I managed to get myself to the immigration museum, to find out where all the people who live here came from (or something like that) and spent an age wandering round looking at the shops. I liked melbourne and would love to go back there to spend some more ... read more

Are you going round the twist? (more on that story later...( I have arrived! I could just leave it there, but i've had some pretty wicked days here, so i guess i should tell all about them. In order I suppose... So I left Christchurch, it was pretty cold and miserable there so I was glad to leave. Met a couple of dutch people on my shuttle bus who were flying to Sydney on my flight. I was pretty knackered and sure I confused the hell out of them with my random ramblings, but they stuck with me so I can't have been too odd. I got put right at the back of the plane, which sucked, Quantas don't do random upgrades on check in, and the flight from C.Church to Sydney was full so I ... read more

I've just looked through my blog posts and some of the pictures don't seem to be working. Can you confirm if this is the same please...I might have to go through and upload them all over again! Well here I am, in Christchurch, with one evening left till I head to Aus. I'm nervously excited about heading to another new country. With everyone having told me how much I will love Australia and how great Melbourne is. Watch this space for my official verdict. I got to Christchurch a couple of days ago. People were telling me the best thing about this city, was getting out of it. I personally don't think its that aweful. But then, it is very like a British city, and I'm from Britain so maybe thats why I actually feel pretty ... read more

So there isn't much to tell to be honest. Ive been in Queenstown since Sunday. It is nice here, the weather has been great and I've spent my time doing not very much. Had a few walks, cooked a few meals, watched many films. I walked up the hill to the top of the gondola yesterday which was nice. and today. nowt! Tomorrow I got to Christchurch. Should be fun, have heard mixed reports, but at least i have accommodation sorted!... read more

Currently pretty pumped having just done my bungy jump. more on that later. Soooo, Invercargill was a hole. Then we headed to Te Anau. It was a wet miserable day to start off with, so we all decided against the farm show and didn't really fancy posing with any stone Wales, which we were assured travellers usually wanted to do. But we did visit Henry the oldest living Tuatara (150ish I think). Awesome. Then we had lunch at some old pub which apparently does the nices blue cod on the south island. It was nice. Fish and chips are good yeah? The journey to Te Anau was filled with stopping in random places to take pictures of the view, which was alright. Te Anau was a nice place situated by a lake with some beautiful scenery ... read more

Well I have now reached the Southernmost point of New Zealand. My trip has now taken me right up to the top, to the exact center and right to the bottom of the country. Exciting stuff eh? We left Franz Josef bright and early on Sunday morning. I was once again with a whole new busload of people. They all seemed pretty nice and I was with Zara who is always a laugh. The weather had turned pretty shitty, and I was very lucky to have done my Glacier hike on a sunny day as the people who did the the day after got soaked and it turns out they had to cancel it the day after that! We got to Wanaka mid afternoon and I had time to watch the sun set over the lake, ... read more

Westport was a funny little town. It is apparently the largest town on the West coast. Well at 4pm on a wednesday afternoon, it wasn't exactly thriving that's for sure. I'd decided not to do any activities, but to chill out for the afternoon instead. So I made a spag bol for a few people, and still ended up with three meals worth to spare! It was awesome, as always! In the evening it was 'socialise' time and we headed to a pub/pizzaria and had a few bevs. I got to know a few of the people on my new bus and but didn't have a very late night. I did try and show off some poi skills in a semi dark backgarden, but broke my poi and simultaniously ripped a hole in my long sleeved ... read more

For all those who don't realise,I've just uploaded loads of pics from the past few weeks and put them into the appropriate blogs! I sit right now in Nelson Public Library (man is it weird to be back in one of these places after so long) They have self issue here, and I haven't heard one person grumbling about it, and the computers EVEN have SD card slots, woah!) but enough about the library, what've I been up to? We left River Valley and headed towards Wellington. This was going to be a long bus journey, so Relle said we could each choose three songs on our Ipods and not have to listen to her music all the way. This was because she likes to know what the kids listen to these days. She likes to ... read more
