My family and I have enjoyed many day trips to Northumberland but we’ve never stayed for a short break due to the proximity of where we live. This year, however, we had the opportunity to do just that and experience Northumberland at both day and night - and what a difference it made! Myself, my husband and our two children, aged 7 and 10, had the pleasure of staying in a lovely property known as Smugglers Cove, in the coastal village of Beadnell. The cottage was ideally situated in the heart of Beadnell village and made a perfect base for exploring Northumberland’s outstanding coastline - especially as the neighbouring villages of Seahouses and Bamburgh were just a short drive away!
