We are very quickly learning that travelling as we are is very up and down. Down times are hard but fortunately for each downer we get an equivalent high. Arriving in Hanoi was our deserved high after a tough day travelling. It started with the taxi driver asking our permission to turn up the radio then singing and bopping away calling himself Mr DJ then, dropped off in the old quarter near the cathedral, we found the city to be bustling, noisey and colourful. The traffic took our attention immediately as we observed mopeds, cars and pedestrians, all receiving equal respect, darting along streets and across free-for-all junctions.
