Sydney vs London Love your blog so much :-)
I just wanted to ask you some more detailed info about sydney compared to london.
I mean besides the obvious things like the sun/heat/beaches/costs/place names/opera house and so on.
How similar are the two places really? I know sydney is much bigger than london, but london much older.
Does sydney really have a london "feel"? Or just a similar vague sort of feeling in certain parts?
Many people ive asked about this have said that sydney is just like london as well, but london has much much more of a "vibe" and culture to it.
I cant imagine sydney could compare to the architecture and charm of London.
Almost everything in london is old, old old, and beautiful. Old world, sydney cant compare.
From what ive seen/read/think, i would rate sydney and london similarities a 5/10.
Also, australia in general, compared to england, when it comes to the streets and houses.
In my opinion the majority of australian houses are absolutely ugly, just disgusting. Therefore the streets and suburbs look pretty bad. Australia has like 70% MODERN buildings and houses, which are mostly horrendously ugly.
England on the other hand, has 80% old gorgeous houses and buildings, streets. Etc. And even the super old medieval stuff.
How does oz measure up in your opinion? Pros and cons?
Which country has more tree and plants? I know englands alot greener..
Why do so many english ive known of and speak to, love australia so much? How could they want to trade a 500 yr old castle, for a crappy sandcastle on the beach. Theyve all moved here permanently and talk about how much they hate england, their home country. This boggles my mind, all oz has to offer is the boring beaches and sun. How could anyone want to move to Oz from the most amazing country in the world, england, and even the whole ok the UK?
What do you think?
Really look forward to hearing back from you :-)
Thanks, kev
I am 32 years old who has had the desire to travel the world for as long as i can remember.... having 4 months of work to embark on a 4 month Journey through Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and finally Fiji - i have chosen destinations where ive always wanted to travel to and lucky for me they form a cost effective RTW fare with Quantas
My interests in life are going to the gym, travelling and the love of my life, my dog!! The reason i can go for only 3 months is that my mum aka flo will only dog & house sit for this length of time....
So the story begins.................. full info
