Wow!
Mud, blisters and sleeping with lots of other people .....sounds like so much fun. But I am sure that the scenery and the very fact you are walking thru history make up for the aches and pains. Keep the pictures coming.

What a wonderful way to meet Spaniards!
What a great way to meet people in Spain, Laura. It sounds exhausting, but really interesting. I'm so proud of you - what an adventure. And what a beautiful little town.

Madrid is Beautiful
I lived in Madrid for 3 years in one of the suburbs (Majadahonda) and LOVED it. The night life in Madrid is beyond comparison and it is truely a city that never sleeps. Go eat at Botins in Plaza Mayor (it is the oldest restaurant in the world), the food is a bit pricey but it is world class eating. Don't drink to much Spanish Rioja!

Yahoo for you!
Hi Laura...thanks for inviting me to your blog. This sounds like a wonderful trip and one that you will cherish forever. I will be looking forward to hearing more. I am currently in the lovely metropolis of Yakima, WA doing some work and leave today...and not too soon as it will be in the 90's here today. Mike
