Wrassling Sea Turtles on Roatan Island, Honduras

a trip by Christi Linardich
From: July 14th 2011
Until: August 3rd 2011

I will be spending three weeks on Roatan Island in the Caribbean, home to the second largest coral reef system in the world. The mission is to tag and stalk Hawksbill Turtles (currently on the endangered species list) to get a better idea of their diet and day to day movements for a friend's grad research. There will be lots of diving and snorkeling and science of course.
