Arriving late afternoon after spending all day on a coach, we were glad to find that the hotel at our drop off point was in the centre of town (relatively) and also a good deal, with bed and breakfast for only $8. After the usual dumping of bags and quick shower - desperately needed by this point - we headed out to explore. The town is very much a tourist haven, with the main route in being lined with small, air-conditioned shopping malls, supermarkets and various other souvenir shops and eateries. Although this does not give an authentic Cambodian feel, it does provide a welcome break for those of us travelling through places that often lack such conveniences.
