Kieran Budd

My name is Kieran Budd, I am 13 and live at Beverley Avenue on Canvey Island. I am a Spurs supporter and enjoy playing football and x-box. On the 22nd March 2013 I will be going on a trip of a lifetime with my nan and grandad to Los Angeles in America, Brisbane in Australia and Singapore. My journey around the world will take me to 3 continents where I will experience different cultures, climates, see unique creatures, famous landmarks and eat exotic foods.

I am looking forward to seeing the world and most excited to see my cousins down under having only met some of them once or twice during my lifetime. Follow me accross the world and enjoy my travel blog.

Not much to write today as it is my last day in Singapore and the last day of my holiday. I went to Orchard Road to look at the shops and then came back and had a quick swim. I will soon be on the plane home. I have had a great holiday and I am very lucky to have been able to go to so many places all different in their own way. I have been away from home for a month and I am now looking forward to seeing my family in England.... read more

Today I sadly had to say goodbye to my Australian family and take the 7 hour flight to Singapore. When I arrived in Singapore I found it very hot and humid due to the fact that Singapore is very close to the Equator. I am staying at the world famous Raffles Hotel named after Thomas Stamford Raffles. It celebrated its 125th birthday last Year. It is one of the few colonial style buildings that remain in Singapore. I spent the remainder of the day looking round the hotel and then went for a swim in the pool which is on the roof of the hotel.... read more

Oceania » Australia » Queensland » Brisbane April 15th 2013

Today is the last day in Forestdale, Brisbane. When I got up and went into the garden I found a male and female duck in the garden along with her 5 chicks. The ducks had been roaming the garden and also swimming in the pool. It seems they made the garden and pool their home whilst we were away. I had my last swim in the pool diving for coins and did a bit of last minute shopping, visited my cousin Lauren, Brad and baby Amber and then went to watch my cousin Sam play a football match. My cousin Kerrie was there along with my other cousin Will. I said my goodbyes to everyone and then went back to my aunt Jean's and uncle Tony's for an evening meal. Tomorrow morning I am off to ... read more

Oceania » Australia » New South Wales » Sydney » Manly April 14th 2013

Today I took the ferry to Manly, I was amazed at the clarity of the water and the many species of fish. When we docked we went searching for togs so that I could jump some waves and practice my body surfing in the South Pacific. I was cautioned by a lifeguard to move up into a safer area of the beach. When we were tired of jumping waves we decided to play a sand sea defence game. After that I caught the ferry back to Sydney. We then had to pack our cases and return to Brisbane.... read more

Flew to Sydney today and arrived about 10am and took the train to the hotel and after checking in I went to Circular Key. I watched a juggler who juggled with fire and knives. I had a ride on an OZ Jet Boat which is a speed boat that holds about 20 people and it speeds about the harbour doing 360 degree turns. Although I wore a cape to protect me from the spray I got totally soaked. Saw the famours Harbour Bridge and then went to the Opera House. After lunch I went on a pleasure cruise around the harbour and had afternoon tea on board . In the evening I watched Brisbane Roar on the TV. They were playing Western Sydney Wanders but unfortunately Brisbane lost the match.... read more

Had a quiet day today after all the travelling the day before. Went to Calypso Bay and travelled through sugar cane fields. I then went on to Yatala and had one of their famous Yatala pies (my pie contained bacon, cheese and beef). After that I went shopping at the Logan Hyperdome where I bought some new earphones and a new ipod case.
