Sorry I haven't posted in two days, Drury and I have been enjoying our time in Bangkok. It's an amazing city and I will try and catch everyone up on what we have been doing. We woke up the first morning and had breakfast at the hotel which has a wonderful buffet of Western and Asian foods. We then contacted Drury's friend, Margo, who invited us on this trip who arrived that morning. We immediately got in a cab and headed over to her hotel across the river. After a brief hello at her hotel, we headed off to get her something to eat as she literally had just landed in Bangkok. She had some flight troubles as her flight on Turkish Air was cancelled so they re-routed her from Houston to London and then from ... read more

WE MADE IT!!! Today was an exciting and very long day as we set off on our flight to Asia. Our first flight was on a United 747 from San Francisco to Tokyo for 11 hours. Drury and I had cashed in every single point we had so that we could fly first class on the first flight and then business class on our second flight. We boarded the flight and we were immediately excited as our seats were HUGE! We had so much leg room it was ridiculous. We both had the second row seats so we were at the curvature of the nose of the plane and that did make for a little motion sickness as we taxied. Once in the air the meal services began. I have posted several photos of our meals ... read more

San Francisco has been experiencing a lot of rain the past month and today was no exception. We woke up to a steady rain and say that the weather would be rainy and a little windy all day. We woke up kind of early and headed to Denny's for breakfast and then back to the room to get some last minute work done before we leave the country. We decided to walk to Pier 39 and have lunch somewhere there. Since it is raining and San Francisco's winter season, most of the tourist destinations have been really empty and today was no exception at the Pier. There were not many people walking around and it was really nice. We walked to the end of the pier and watched the sea lions for a bit and then ... read more

Drury and I woke up early today for our flight to San Francisco. We found out a resident in our building has started his own car service company so we had one of his drivers pick us up at the building and take us to the airport. We arrived at the airport in plenty of time for our flight and as soon as we sat down at our gate, we both got a notification that our flight was delayed an hour because of traffic in San Francisco. Apparently with the bad weather there they only had two runways working so we had to wait for our flight to get a landing time. We boarded the plane and Drury and I both had Seat 1A and 2A which was very nice as they are window and aisle ... read more

Woke up this morning in Cozumel, Mexico. I don't even know how many times I have been to this port. It seems like every cruise I have ever taken stops in Cozumel. Our ship docked in the southern most port along with the Regal Princess. Since there were two ships with about 4,000 people each I thought I would spend the day on board instead of fighting the crowds. I decided to read some on my balcony, but they were doing some hammering just outside so it was too loud and annoying for me. I then tried the pool deck, but that was also extremely loud. I decided at that point to go to shore and walk around. I got off the ship and walked around the shopping area. I also noticed the extremely large Oasis ... read more

Central America Caribbean February 2nd 2017

Today we made it to Belize. The ship anchors quite far from the dock as the waters around Belize are very shallow. After breakfast I met some of our group to get on a tender and head for shore. The tender ride took about 30 minutes so it was nice to finally get to the port. Then we spent most of the day shopping around the town. If you want a knock-off Prada bag, Coach, or Louis Vuitton, this is the place to do it. There were so many purses and suitcases you could buy it was amazing. I did buy a small carry-on Prada rolling bag for $40 instead of the regular price of $3,000...lol. After a couple of house of shopping we had lunch at a grill restaurant where I had some delicious chicken ... read more

I had a relatively quiet day on the ship today. I ordered a breakfast burrito for breakfast by the pool and then headed off the boat to the shopping area that was close by. I walked around the area and surprisingly did not purchase anything. I got back on the boat and since it was so quiet I went out by the pool and read most of the day away. It was really nice to finally relax and enjoy some quiet time. I wound up meeting a small group for drinks spontaneously at the casino bar and then a group of us went to the Pasta Restaurant for dinner. It was really good as we had shared portions of calamari, meatballs, and salad for the first courses. Then for the entrée I ordered the Chicken Parmesan ... read more

Third day on the boat and second sea day on our way to Roatan, Honduras. I slept in today and skipped breakfast. I got ready and then walked around the ship a little exploring. The ship is so big and I really have not seen all of it yet. I tried to get some reading done on the pool deck but it was SO LOUD with all of the music. I wound up going down to the promenade deck and read for while. I started getting hungry so I went back to my room and ordered some room service. I ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich and it was awful. I definitely do not recommend room service on a cruise ship. I started watching a movie and then fell asleep for a couple of hours. I ordered room service for breakfast and got ready for the day. I was meeting Debbi and Ashley for lunch on the pool deck at one of the bars. While I was waiting I ordered my first Rum Punch. I love this drink, it's like fruit punch but with Rum. I actually wound up having probably a few too many throughout the afternoon, but they were really good. Ashley & Debbi never showed so I wound up running into Melissa from our Waco office and hung out with her and Daniel most of the day by the pool. We had a lot of fun talking and laughing and even tried a burger from Guy's Burger Joint and they are very good burgers. Several other agents found us by the pool so it wound up being quite ... read more
