Comment all-over Today we managed to get to the blogpages. At Last!!!
Good to read about everything we know and didnt know already. Some backgrounds of daily stories can explain a lot. But what about all the experiences that were not mentioned in these blogs? Sometimes something need not not be mentioned to the whole world.
Interesting to see how our visitor is consuming Dutch habits and lifestyle. It does give us a bit more insight behind the screens of modern and vastly unknown social behavior. Someway different from ours. The double generation gap.
We are still interested.
I know exactly which pancake place you have been to: right on top of the hill overlooking the valley towards Belgium. You were there when you were about 11! we met Arnouts parents there.
Ps if I order some asparagus now, will they be soft by the 27th June when Jess and I arrive........

Nice blog, you write well. Nice pictures too. Only nothing about current week? when will the travels take you south again to the blue room and philosofy about all that is, and to learn more about Druidism etc.
Love, your cousin, Desiree
Yo! You are getting there. After all you have only been away for about 8 weeks. Wow. You are playing hockey, skating, cycling everywhere....... You have taken yourself of sightseeing, seeing the family, experiencing carnaval. You have been to top class soccermatches albeit serving food and drink, but still, you must have seen some of the action and tasted the atmosphere. You also managed to survive your training days at the Vooruitgang. Way to go. I can see euro signs all the way as well! And it always takes a while for the newby to be accepted. Even there you have made so much progress. Thumbs up!
knock their clogs off good for you going to "V" and chatting to the manager after your stint at the PSV VIP box. all the best for your first couple of days at "V" and for your hockey trials. Remember what you learnt as captain of the "mighty thirds" at rbhs and you'll knock their clogs off!
love, dad
you will be able to ride the argus on a kiddies bike or something by the time you get back: so much training of "vrot" material!
Good on you for going back to the restaurant! You can show them how nice South Africans are and how hard they work with a smile! on their face. Not like their regular morose-waiters-i-get-minimum-wage-anyway attitude
Love all the new photo's of art around Eindhoven and other things that capture your attention!
The supporters at the PSV-Ajax game are going to be something else! Will be very interesting to hear your comments about the "pens" they are being shuttled into and things like special trains and compartments...
Barnards have a talent for writing It appears the Barnards have a talent for writing, that's for sure ;-). I'm enjoying reading your blog but don't often have 2 hours to read it lol. Jokes aside, keep up the good work. As your Dad says - it'll make for a good book sometime.
Glad you are 'always exploring' - it's the only way to go!
Lots love

Actually looks like the little stream that was near my highschool and where we used to walk along during break or run along when we wanted to make it to the sweet shop and back in time.
I'm a funky South African dude on an adventure into the European depths of the world.
I've just graduated with a BSc in Conservation Ecology from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
I rather enjoy fast speeds on a downhill skateboard, sports, laughing, relaxing and braaing with mates as well as staying alive.
This blog is mainly for friends and family who are interested in my activities and inevitable, sometimes questionable, expeditions.
I aim to meet loads of new people, try new things and be open to all the possibilities that I may come across.
