Catching up I got a bit behind in your blog, so I was catching up now on the past few days. I I am really envious of this adventure that you are undertaking. Loved the pictures from London and truly love the pictures from where you will be staying. Have you rented a car? I will look forward to your next entry. Love, Lorraine
Car The car is part of my stay (found through SabbaticalHomes.com). I’m doing pet-sitting and plants-tending in exchange for staying almost free (($100/week to cover utilities and $60/month to cover car insurance)
Your shower makes me claustrophobic! Love your adventures here, however I think I might have had to take a spit bath instead of using that shower....I almost hyperventilate just looking at it and imagining have to shut the door!!! You are doing a great job capturing your adventures. Love reading your blog! Take care
Wow....what a wonderful haven you have found! Love the pics of your new home away from home. So peaceful and the gardens are amazing. Love the sweet kitty too. Had to chuckle that the kitty got you to feed her early...smart kitty. Glad your train journey went smoothly and that you found a helper to schlep your suitcase. You find the best travel angels. Take care dear friend!
What a superb location, adorable cottage and a happy cat....oh and the wine. Wish I was there. Instead I'm on Jet Blue flying to ole Long Beach, CA for a memorial tomorrow. Pet the kitty for me and have an extra glass of wine too.
Oops, I am new to this! Looks like I wrote my comment in the title field, so don't know for sure what happened to what I wrote. Anyway Lissa, I love your blog and can see that you have quite a good thing going for you. Enjoy!
I’m a newbie, too Glad you’re on board, Candy! Yes, I’m put off by the whole titling of comments and necessity of reviewing them before they can post. However. Since my blog is “public,” it’s s good thing to be able to shut down trolls (of which there are discouragingly many these days...)
Charming abode What a great time you are going to have there. It is often like you envision, but seldom experience in reality! Hope Miss Winifred will be “purrfect” companion? do you have to weed the gardens??❤️❤️❤️
Bliss! Indeed, it turned out to be even better than the pix she sent me - totally charming, mismatched crockery and all - and neat as a pin. I’m invited to fill the bird feeders, water and mow if I’m inclined, but it’s not a requirement. ?
I feel like I'm there! Thanks for all these wonderful photos of food, flowers, and fun. It's warm here again, the past 2 days but not unpleasant. I'm off to California tomorrow to a funeral and a birthday party. Look forward to seeing your pet sitting accomodations.
Arrival So glad you had such an easy flight. Wow they must be thrilled you are there. Not everyone gets a parade upon arrival. Keep up the blogs and have exceptional travels.
Got your 2nd entry and photos so I guess I signed up correctly. Loved the art and wonder if your hot dog tastes as good as a Costco polish dog? Smooth flight and go night night.
Hot digs Don’t know what the polish one tastes like, so you’ll have to introduce me..? The Chicago dog had snap, was high quality and the condiments tasted fresh and healthy.
Chicago looks Cool ? I know it was hot and muggy but the sights were amazing! Loved the art and OMG the pizza looked delish! I will try and convey how I sent this comment to Rosie via FB ?
Hot dog The Portillo's dog has me drooling. So happy you were able to spend time with Sharon. Sharon told me I should ask to see the video you made of the art show painting. You pacmke a lot into a couple of days!
