For the next few blogs, when we post pictures, it will seem like rocks, rocks and more rocks. We will try to remember exactly where the rocks were located. Gail's camera, in her "electronical" ways, decided to mix up the pictures so we have tried to sort them out according to date and location. Sue can't figure out how to resize the pics so uploading to the blog takes time...so learn how to do this before you head out onto the road. We are off to the Grand Canyon sunset tour in 30 minutes...so more pics will need to wait until our return. Tomorrow is a rest day, massage, sleep etc. Hopefully we will be able to get more eye candy on the blog for your enjoyment. Oh yes, thanks to those who have left us ... read more

Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely. Yes, Priscilla, there is serendipity... We were either exploring, sleeping or did not have wireless access for the past 48 hours so there were no postings so before we head out today, we thought we would catch everyone up with what we are doing and where we are. On Sunday morning we thought we would take a day trip to the Petrified Forest, north east from Sedona. There had been almost torrential rains in Sedona on Saturday evening and Sunday was sunny and bright so all the tourists were out in full force. As we left the Kings Ransom hotel in Sedona, we headed north. We snaked our way thru Sedona and headed north on Hwy 89, which ... read more

Sue and Gail went to the Sedona airport where they have a beautiful view. The pilots have an extraordinary GPS system as seen in the picture. Shortly afterwards we went for our IET, Integrated Energy Therapy, which was to deal with the issues in our tissues. Leon was Sue's conduit to the angels and Phoenix had the privilege of being Gail's conduit. We were in different rooms, which was a good thing. It is too difficult to describe this "therapeutic" modality except to say the angels had to help us release all our negative emotions such as fear, shame, resentment, heart ache so that we had room in our hearts for self-love, innocence, acceptance until filled to bursting. This is considered the Heart Walk, we think. Then when we had released the negatives and been filled ... read more

We are beginning to believe that there will be some healing of the issues in our tissues, here in this very special place in Arizona. Of course, the streets of Sedona are lined with the usually tourist traps but we have been taken off the beaten path a bit by our guides in and around Sedona. Traveling as we did from the East to West has had its own surprising benefits. Our bodies and minds are still on Eastern time, which means we are 3 hours ahead of everyone else. This may be the only time in our lives this will ever happen. We did not expect to try to do anything before noon, but here in Arizona, it is a very respectable 9 am. And then we fall into bed about 11 pm, which is ... read more

Gail has an English butler she has named Tom, who lives in her GPS. His last name is Tom, as in Tom Tom. Sue knows that Gail has very weird "electronical" vibrations at the best of time so she needs to expect that even the $300 "electronical" GPS would screw up. Instead of heading back to the hotel to pick up our luggage, Tom had us headed towards Mexico. And you know that last nerve, Gail and Sue were sharing?? Well, it went south too. We did eventually make it back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and then we were able to get Tom to get us to the highway north. It was rather humorous to see we were on HWY 17 North. And after you leave the Pheonix area, the gas stations ... read more

We have arrived and Sue is trying to type this on a computer in the lobby of the courtyard marriot near the Phoenix airport. Sarah, originally from Belfast Ireland, is telling us all about what we need to see on our way to Sedona and back. I know it is the funny little keyboard I am using, not the Blue Moon beer we are drining that makes typing difficult. It is over 100 degrees F or 40 degrees C in Phoenix...hot, hot, hot. Gail knows how to travel and knowing we would be tired when we got here, she had wheelchair service from the plane to the luggage carousel to the taxi that brought us to the hotel. I don't know where Gail's wheelchair had been stored but the metal sides of her wheelchair were 150 ... read more

This is blister 2 Gail, I have no idea what day or date it is nor do I care. We started off our trip with some good old primal screaming, in the car of course. Everyone needs to try this ,it is very therapeutic and we are still in Michigan staying at the Marriott. Sue thought I had out done myself because right next to our room is the concierge lounge. Here we were greeted by Sally with all kinds of yummy things to eat. Of course I was as just surprised as Sue, as I did not realize the significant s of the fourth floor. Right now we our practicing doing nothing in preparation for tomorrow, when we fly to the land of enchantment Sedona. Sue says to you she is very proud of how ... read more

In 72 hours, the Blazing Blisters will be in Arizona. It has been an adventure just planning the logistics of this adventure and trying to get out of town in one piece. Of all the things we have lost over the years, we miss our minds the most...but maybe that is what makes our trips so much fun. We met for breakfast last evening (yes, we do breakfast any time of day or night) and synchronized our day planners and we are ready to go. We had to make sure that for every event, treatment, tour etc we booked, that we have planned a "rest day". And except for the free breakfast, we don't have to do mornings. We don't want to come back from our vacation tired and stressed, do we?? When Gail was booking ... read more

Sue was just talking to a friend who wondered how we were going to get any rest at the Heart Walk Center sleeping on those narrow treatment beds and hanging with Phoenix and Leon. Rest assured...we are not staying at the Center. We are staying at a regular hotel with really nice beds and a nice pool. We will just be going to the center for the treatments we choose. We will also travel to the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest, which are 2-3 hours away. ... read more

Just wanted to let you know what we are looking at doing in Sedona. For a good time, check out the info on the HeartWalk Center in Sedona. They have lots of interesting "beliefs". Gail and Sue are believers to some extent but had a good laugh. We are most interested in dealing with the issues in our tissues, no matter how we get there. Here is Gail's email to Leon and Phoenix... Hi Sedona at Heart Walk people, My name is Mary Gail Eikelenboom (age 55) and my friend Suzanne Wilkins (age 57) plan on vacationing in Sedona. We both have autoimmune problems fribromyagia and arthritis, so we are not looking for strenuous activities. I tried to email through your site but had tech problems...(the story of Gail's life). I am interested in having us ... read more
