I think of you often and will be looking forward to your return.

EXCITING time - only a couple of days to go - what an absolutely amazing acheivement - what a woman!!!! Have a big celebration when you finish - have one on me! cheers
Nearly there! Hi Karen,
Wow! How well have you done and how great it must be to have Bill with you now. I was thinking that when you get back to work next term you will probably want to walk around the uni about 100 times each day. Can't wait to catch up, Cheers, Jan
Way to go! Great work Karen. What you've done is amazing but I know you're aware of that. I so wish I was there with you and not just in spirit. Hope Bill has acclimatized. I'm sure he will be fine.
I had a great weekend catching up with some old friends from high school. We went to Del Rio Caravan Park out past Wiseman's Ferry where one of the girls has cabin. It was so good catching up in spite of the extremely windy weather.
All the best for the remaining leg (no pun intended).
Luxury Your own apartment, how wonderful that must have been for a change. Enjoy the rest of your time with Bill it will be fabulous to now share it with him. We are going camping with the guys from the fire brigade this weekend down to the national park near Wombeyan Caves. Should be fun. Stay well.
Hi Karen
Have loved reading the blogs. All sounds fabulous. It's great doing things outside your "comfort zone"!! Great travellers tales for years to come!! Take care. Gail
Views and bugs too Hi Karen
I loved this account - wierd spelling, breathtaking views, great food and drink and finally, local colour, bed bugs! Enjoy the bus ride. Enjoy Bill.
Love and hugs, Jan
You are so close now - by the time you get this Bill will be with you and you will both be on your last leg of your adventures. What a great time you have had - you must be extremely proud of what you have achieved. You will have some great memories. Good luck on your last week and keep enjoying it. I'm off to Jenolan Caves tomorrow - it will be cold I feel but I will love it. Thanks for all your newsy messages, I feel I have been there myself.
Cheers
Hand in there! Hi there! Not far to go now!! How are the boots holding out?? By the time you get this you'll have Bill with you! What a lovely way to finish your journey! Am thinking of you and looking forward to hearing about the travels and seeing the photos! Pam M
It all sounds so great. I can't wait to to get over there now. The countdown is well and truly happening. I have done hardly any walking but I have a light pack and good shoes so hopefully it will be fine.
Beer It's amazing how our taste (and common sense) can change when we are away from home. Keep trying new things.(drink i mean) i don't think there has ben a day where we haven't had a beer. Wendy is definately keeping up with me with the beer, she is drinking your share of the gin and even into the red wine.
enjoying getting your sms each day, feels like we are not far apart.
karen
sounds so good Thanks for the lovely and unexpected sms. It brightened an otherwise very ordinary day. I'm glad that everything is going so well for you although it must have been hard saying adios to Chick.
I googled photos of the camino to get a better idea of what you may have been seeing. It only served to wet my appetite even further. I can't wait to hear your stories.
we are all well in spite of the crazy dust storm that we had today. Looking out the window at 6am was seriously weird. Even Cameron got out of bed to see it.
Stay safe,
R xx
Ganbatte!! Hi Karen, sorry for the Japanese flavour, but I love this saying - it means "keep on, keep trying your best"
I know you really don't need any reminders, what a fantastic time you must be having, interspersed with the trials. Sounds like a totally new dimension added to your life. Hope those angels of yours continue to keep their eye on you.
Take care, must be wonderful to know you are on the downhill stretch now. Carol xx
Sounds so amazing. I'm always worried when you don't blog for a couple of days so to get 2 in one day was great. Have a great time when Bill arrives. Love Jenny
missing you Sounds like you are having a wonderful, if not a little testing, time! And I am sure you always knew it would be! You are very missed here!
Hi Karen,
We have just returned from our caravan trip up north and have been catching up on your multiple communications.
Glad your having such a fabulous time and enjoying your little stroll.
We are busy getting back into routine (again) and catching up with everyone.
Thanks for your birthday wishes (sms and card) but I'm not sure of your card's message..... sailing off into the sunset??????
Bill is missing his social secretary but we have managed to get him here for dinner next week. We will send him home early before he gets too comfortable on the lounge!
Have a beer for us and remember that most of those people you spoke to in Burgos were not born when I was there! Sad, isn't it?
Love,
Paul and Barbara.

Mmmmmmm Hi Karen
Your short stay sounded blissful - not only for your bidy but for your emotions. I am thoroughly enjoying your adventure. I look forward to being with you in the middle of some drama(?!) at my desk.
Love Jan
Hello It's very interesing reading your words, Karen and hearing the different moods come through. Today's seem very reflective and quietly confident and satisfied. As I said last time any Brown news seems so mundane! Enjoy Chick's company. X Judy
I am about to embark on the walk of my life! I love learning and making the most of everyday. All being well, this adventure will meet both criteria. I plan to walk the Camino de Santiago from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Santiago over six weeks. Wish me well!... full info
