Biking for Breast Cancer
Robbie Handy Chris Oakes Roman DuChateau
July 23rd... five young men embark on a journey that will define them for the rest of their lives! Biking for Breast Cancer is what they started, a 1,700 mile journey from Half Moon Bay to Cabo San Lucas to Raise Money for Breast Cancer. I have never been a part of something more inspirational! True genius comes from originality... and these boys got it! Picture this, five guys just out of college, and no 401 K plan-plan on doing what a lot of people would say “just damn ignorant”! Give up everything that they’ve established: cars, jobs (40k plus), and all assets for the greater good in what they believe in. A cause. These guys are going to be traveling completely off of what they create and 95% goes to Breast Cancer Research Foundation; an RV in which was donated and 5 bikes, which are their tools to paint on this blank canvas. Blank as of now, yet 8 weeks from the 23rd an historical picture set in stone, that’s the estimated time. We all have dreams that we would love to lead, although life is so fast some times; the grime can be blinding! The plan is to hit eight cities before Mexico ( Baja California ) and fund raise, selling T-shirts and bracelets, stickers and good old fashion fund raising. The cities are: Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Manhattan Beach, Laguna Beach, San Diego and then on to Mexico. With one thousand miles left, the true test may take place, but it’s Cabo or bust! 3 thousand dollars have been raised so far and the trip hasn’t even started. Allow me to introduce the Team: Robbie Handy, Chris Oakes, Roman Duchateau, Tony Amaral, and Mike Zawlocki. These chivalrous five young men are doing what they believe in an admirable task to say the least. So follow us on this journey, and you too may have that incandescent spark that we all long for; that life can be greater then yesterday! . There will be a travel blog also updates made to the Biking for Breast Cancer MySpace and the official Biking for Breast Cancer website so that you can follow the progress of their journey on the fight against Breast cancer!
