It's time to depart Missoula for several months of traveling in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast states. The first mission is to relocate Barbara's parents into an assisted living residence and close out their rental home of 19 years. This will all transpire in Eau Claire, WI, where the weather promises to be even more inclement than Missoula. The second mission is to visit with Drew in Chapel Hill and spend some time on the North Carolina coast. Finally, we hope to vagabond about as events, weather, and whimsy dictates. As we head towards the Great Frozen Midwest, we pass by a heron on the Clark Fork River in downtown Missoula, who no doubt is likewise reconsidering his winter travel plans.
