Happy Birthday Mama--From Malta to Venice with the Family

My mother is turning 80 (no, seriously, e-i-g-h-t-y years young) on June 21. Last summer, while sitting on the deck overlooking Lake Lure, NC, she said, "What should we do for my birthday? You know what I want to do? I want to take you all on a cruise on MY favorite cruise line. I wonder where they'll be on my birthday. (consults iPad.) They'll be in Dubrovnik. We could go to Europe. Let's go to Europe on Regent Seven Seas!" After we picked our chins up off of the floor, we said, "Uh, sure, why not?" We leave June 10 for Malta and sail on June 13 for 12 nights on a six-star Regent Seven Seas Navigator. Mom has good taste. All 13 of us on this trip, including Mom, agree.
