So jealous! Amazing post... my mouth is watering and I'm thinking of when I can get myself to Rome... like ASAP! This is great... so happy that you guys are living the dream. Reminds me so much of Eat Pray Love! Can't wait to read more/see you guys in just over a month!!!!
:) !
OMG did that ever bring back memories! I never tired of emerging from the Coloseo subway stop with visitors and seeing the Coloseum in all it's glory! I can't believe that in 3 yrs. you never saw the Sistine Chapel--how is that possible?!?
My mouth was watering during the whole reading and all I can say is, Thank God we can get imported Parmesan, both at Shaw's and the co-op!
Can't wait to hear about the farm and environs, LOVE, M/P
Great Belfast blog Mary - really enjoyed the report on Belfast. Look forward to hearing about life on an organic farm in Italy (and your Rome visit). Jeff
Finn!
It was so interesting to read about those "peace" walls between Protestant and Catholic neighborhoods in Belfast! I'd have thought they'd have been long gone since the formal peace agreement. I cracked up at your description of the mad beer run and Jon's total look of loving appreciation of the effort to convince the guy to sell you the needed items to enjoy the playoffs!! We had a Superbowl party here which was great fun with lots of great food and margaritas and a wonderful outcome for our Pauli cuzzes, Jon can explain--hint--they grew up in Neenah where Uncle Dick was his whole career with Kimberly Clark. Don't forget those cute pixes of Finn!! Love, Pam/Mom
Your pics Hi Jon & Mary
What great pics of the Cliffs of Moher especially, and of Ireland generally - we're enjoying the first blog we've ever followed to any extent - great fun! Thanks for setting it up.
Can't wait to hear about life on the first farm! Love to you both, G & G
Yr. B&B Mary, Jon's mom ate it up too, it was so much fun to read! You guys are doing great on the blog and we're all SO enjoying vicariously your various experiences, Love, P/M
Sounds like fun Enjoyed your posts. Chris and I were in Dublin briefly on our honeymoon after befriending an Irish tour guide down in Limerick the week before. Planning on getting to Galway? More recent (2004) memories of visiting Caleb there and had a blast. Still smarting from the Patriots loss.
Have fun.
IRELAND!!!!! so jealous You two are on the greatest adventure of your life!!!!! Make sure that you take TONS of pictures!!!! When you think you are becoming crazy about taking to many pictures, and you think that you are just taking to many, take even more!!!!! That is the one thing I regret after looking back at my time in Thailand! So snap snap snap away!!!!!
Stay safe, and don't do anything I wouldn't do (leaves your options WIDE open)!!!!! Can't wait to hear about more of your adventures!!!
Loves,
Catie Biggs (your fav manager, or atleast I tell myself that;))
Good start So you're off on a new adventure - sounds like Ireland is a lot of fun, especially in the pubs! The blog is a great idea, easy to keep up with all your excitement. We'll be checkin' in, you can be sure. Love, G & G
