Well we made it. After a gruelling flight with our national carrier (which by the way i was not impressed with, after initally booking the A380 at the deposit stage they switched planes and gave us what must have been the oldest 747 in the fleet!) we finally landed in LAX, cleared immigration and started our 4 month adventure! Well everyone I had talked to said spend as little time as possible in LA - and they were right. First impressions were of some pretty impressive freeway interchanges (sad i know) and I have to say that to date that has been the highlight of the city. Admittedly we have yet to leave Hollywood BLVD so im expecting things will pick up. We visited a well know eatery for our first American dinner - hooters! Its
