We had no problems at all and were unaware of any political unrest while we were there. I think most of that is happening in other areas of the country. You will have a great time!

Congrats! How stinky are you???? I think it is great that you made it, although there was not a doubt in my mind. I cannot wait to see all of your pics and hear more.

Accomplishment! The hike is over! I bet it was awesome! Your trip reminds me of my canoe trip to Quetico, exhausting but worth it. I do hope you were not too exhausted to enjoy the beauty of the area.

How fun Hi Kim and Doug...What an exciting trip!! Thanks for keeping us updated with all of your adventures and stories. Of course we're all jealous and can't wait to see all of your pics! Enjoy your hike and be safe...Cindy
Can''t wait to hear how it went Tuesday morning here in NC, thinking of you guys- what an amazing journey- better than TV waiting to hear how it went - the suspense is killing me...love and prayers to you both- E
hiking Deb and I went for our 3 mile walk tonight and talked about the two of you. I figured you would be sitting around the campfire, relaxing after your first day climbing and after a gourmet dinner.
I hope you are both doing well and enjoying the BIG adventure.
wipeout Kim, better to wipe out now than on the trek. Does Doug have video of your fall? That could come in handy. I am just glad to hear you didn't fall off the horse. Best of luck on the rest of your journey.
Wish I could be there that's very interesting, Kim! I enjoy reading about your trip and wish I could be there too. I read the book "Inca" last year and enjoyed it. I guess at my age a trip like that is out of the question so I will do it through others. Keep the updates coming and enjoy every minute of your youth! love, Uncle Dave.
Have a great trip Thanks for keeping us updated...it is sort of like we are along for the ride.... but you don't see us...LOL....Have lots of fun for all of us. Love you Aunt Judy
Doug and I were married in 2000 and have tried to take a trip somewhere different every year to celebrate our marriage. Sometimes it is in our camper, and sometimes we have enough frequent flier miles to go some wonderful places!... full info

We had a wonderful time. It was warm and sunny during the day, probably mid to upper 70s, very nice, and cold at night.
