What does the family structure look like in this country? How is this different/similar to families here in the United States? The modern day family structure in Greece is the father, who is the main authority figure and the one who disciplines. Not only does he do that, but he is also usually the only one to provide for the rest of the family. The mother in the family is the one who takes care of the children and is in charge of ordering the house. Along with the immediate family, such as brothers, sisters, moms, and dads, Greek families are also very close with there "not-so-immediate" family.
