“I always feel as if I’m struggling to become someone else. As if i’m trying to find a new place, grab hold of a new life, a new personality. I suppose it’s part of growing up, yet it’s also an attempt to re-invent myself. By becoming a different me, I could free myself of everything…
But I always hit a dead end. No matter where I go, I still end up me. What’s missing never changes. The scenery may change, but I’m still the same old incomplete person. The same missing elements torture me with a hunger that I can never satisfy. I think that lack itself is as close as I’ll come to defining myself.”
— Haruki Murakami, South of the Border, West of the Sun
My name is Cynthia. Sometimes I tend to write quotes from people either because it’s so unique or doesn't happen very often. Same goes for things that happen every day, if it’s something new or funny I love writing about it! I also love learning about past cultures and the way people lived before us so I would love to explore and maybe even someday find artifacts. Due to this, as you may not already know I would love to become an archaeologist. I also love taking pictures, I guess this all started because I began to notice how pictures could last a lifetime and how it whispered stories very quietly. Pictures were a way of expressing myself of what I saw through my eyes for example when I take a picture I’m making the gift of showing the world through my pictures (eyes). ♥
Life isn't really easy and it shouldn't be so I don’t let bad things get in my way of me being happy. I appreciate how much my parents have worked so hard to get to where they are now. I love listening to music, taking a walk or being alone, once in a while, because I love thinking alone and thinking about the things I've done and how I can become a better person.
