I have really enjoyed reading of your travels and I have to agree that you should add 'Travel Writer' to your already formidable catalogue of talents. I only wish I had read this earlier.
Kiitos hienosta blogista I am not sure how much you read finnish, but I have it easier ,so...Olen itse ollut kiinnostunut Australiasta jo 70 luvulta, kun tutustuin aussiporukkaan Helsingissä ja ystävyys ei jäänyt siihen.
Amsterdam Thanks for yet another interesting blog post and thanks for sharing the strong emotions you experienced in the Van Gough Museum. Everytime I go home to Adelaide and visit the Art Gallery and Museum I have similar strong reactions as they take me straight back to my childhood which for some reason I find incredibly overwhelming. Am also loving the look of that cheese shop and the chocolate shoes, can you bring some of these home with you??
Day one Hei Sari
Mielenkiintoista luettavaa. Sinä olet kyllä laittanut saunaa koskevan kuvatekstin grillikatokseen. Mahtaa ystäväsi ihmetellä, miten olet voinut nukkua siellä ;)
Nice to read... ...your account of Finland, being an Australian Finn yourself. I met people from Finland in Mount Isa back in 1970... I know, last century, way back!!!... and this year 2011 living in France I shared my place with a young woman from Finland who had come to France to help me with my garden. I really enjoyed her company and the idea of visiting Finland has cropped up in my mind. Now your blog here has made it definite!!! Thanks for the photos too.
Fascinated fellow quilter Hello Sari,
Katrina and Cathy came to Ayr last weekend for the bi-annual quilt show and Katrina told me about your blogspot. Wow, what a wonderful time you're having. (just a tad jealous) Your Aunt sounds like the hostess with the mostess! Its great you are getting to see the "real" country and city life, and it all sounds so calm and peaceful. Enjoy! Too lovely... Sari, you are a truely talented blogger...
I am enjoying reading the entries and am so glad you are having a great time!
Can't wait for your trip to make it to Holland and...who knows what else....;-)
Happy Holidays Sari, I think you could have a book in those blog posts. You write so beautifully and even though I have never set foot on Finnish soil I already have a sense of the culture and landscape from your beautiful descriptions ... and thanks for keeping the 'toilet' conversation alive...!
More please.
Sari in Finland Hi Sari awesome reading your blog, so glad to hear that you are having such a great time - it all sounds sooooo relaxing and to say the least that is what you were after - continue to enjoy with your family and outdoors with care Lynda
